First Vescrutia Ranking exam

~@ With his Skull Candy headphones on, Tera sat on a rock in a mountain like area, awaiting a ranking exam.@~

"Why, hello." Whispered Sadako's voice on the wind that wrapped itself around Fuuma, "Are you looking to rank up?" Swooping in on coal black wings, Sadako was then visable. She seemed to have matured a bit since the year or so that they had seen eachother last.

~@Tera was well accustomed to the sound of his music, to the point that he could listen to whats going on around him, and still catch his tunes. He felt a powerful chakra signature descend upon the field, and he turned towards it, only to see what looked like a black winged angel.@~

Oh, uh- Yes I am.

~@ Kunai begin to secretly slip down his sleeves, into his hands as he prepared himself for anything. His scratched CD was his musical selection for the meantime as he looked at Sadako.@~

"I see. Then, for your ranking exam, we shall fight until one of us in unable to carry on, or yeilds. Sound fair?" Sadako continued to gaze curiously at Fuuma. She hadn't battled a sound user before, much less ranked on. This would be a good match.

~@Not even a second after he said the word, he drew the kunai from each sleeve into each hand. He would then slash them together, creating a sharp, piercing arrow of sound, which would race towards Sadako. He continued to slash them, not only to send out more arrows of sound, but to sharpen his blades as well.@~

Dissappearing as Shadow, Sadako moved at the speed of light to be behind Fuuma, and slashed at what should have been his unprotected back as vines rose up from the the earth to wrap around his legs so he couldn't move. Water moved in and started to coat his arms, and froze the instant they came in contact with his skin. She became Shadow again, and moved to be about 10 meters infront of Fuuma, then called upon electricity to short-circut his Walkman.
She then grinned, gazing curiously at Fuuma. How would he get out of this one?
The whole time, her guard was up, and she was ready to dissapate at any given moment.

~@Tera grinned as she tried to short circut his walkman. Because his scratched Cd was inside, it could use electric discharges, and as it was charged with more electricity thanks to Sadako, it would explode due to the extra electricity. The explosion shattered the ice on Tera, and it blew out a good portion of the ground, this would surely be even a little unexpected for Sadako. He was blown some meters back, but it was as he wanted, for now by using the massive sound waves produced by the explosion, the shattering ice, and the crumbling earth beneath them, Tera was able to manipulate this sound. He had noticed Sadako's ability to turn into a shadow and move, so he wouldnt waste all this sound on her.@~

Looks like I'll have to make a new one of those....damn it.

~@Now a bit upset for his walkman's sacrifice, he had all these sound waves roam into the earth, causing a massive explosion underground, mostly around Sadako's area. The sound produced underground by the explosion would burst upward along with the rubble of earth, trying to quickly engulf Sadako in an explosion of sound. As he waited, his shadow began swaying before releasing numerous dark energy feathers into the air, and Tera would take off his headphones, ready to use them as a whip.@~

Since Sadako was able to use the element earth, the sound wave explosion under the earth was detected early, and so, moving as Shadow, she was able to get out of the way. "Clever. But still only something I would expect of a Special Jounin. Impress me." She said simply, and ribbons of Sadako's darkness extended toward him, testing the Dark energy feathers. They were almost like probes, and because they were a part of Sadako's essence, the Darkness could not be absorbed.
Sadako was now 40 meters to Fuuma's right, and from there, she began to hurl boulders at him, but muffled the sound of the whizzing air by manipulating the wind currents. Fire began to crackle around Sadako, and suddenly, the boulder was a flaming projectile.

~@ As Tera looked at the boulders heading his way, dark energy began to quickly coat his arms. He now had a thick layer of dark energy on his arms, and he would now throw a powerful darkness packed punch at the boulder, shattering it on impact. There may have been no sound in the air for some reason, but this shattered boulder would create sound, and Tera would project it forward, pulverizing each of boulders coming over it. Each other the pulverized boulders would in turn create more sound, only now compressed enough to burst through the wind and at the speed sound usually travels at. The condensed blast of sound was aimed back at Sadako. Tera began to notice the dark ribbons headed his way.@~

Tch, these things...

~@ The feathers began to spin rapidly in the air, becoming similar to mini buzz saws. They flew high into the sky to avoid the ribbons of dark energy, waiting to be called down. Tera began to move around the field, keeping himself from becoming an easy target again and to dodge the ribbons.@~

"Hmmm.... Not bad." Sadako said before dissappearing as Shadow. She then moved at the speed of light to be out of the way of the blasts. Fire began to dance around Sadako, and her eyes filled with shadows. At her side, a ball of dark electric magic began to form.

Shes pretty quick....Hmm...maybe a chain....

~@As Tera stepped around the field, he began to focus his chakra to the center of his hand, as well as dark energy as well. Once the two energies began to mix, Tera manipulated the sound of the wind swirling around the energy to mix with them as well. There was now a ball of sound, darkness, and chakra in Tera's hand, highly condensed. He molded this simple ball of energy into thousands of extremely concentrated threads of the mixed energy. These threads began to weave and sew together, ultimately forming a sycthe made of sound wave, dark energy and chakra. He twirled his newly created sycthe in his hands, then held the blade end towards Sadako.@~

Kuro-Maitsu....Ripple Chain.

~@Tera focused an above average amount of chakra into his hand, and then, he flicked the blade of the sycthe. On point of impact, he released the chakra in his hand at the same time, amplifying the sound waves created by flick as well as making them sharper. With the sycthe blade being long and thin, multiple sound waves are created, and ripple across the field 360 degrees around Tera at the speed sound usually travels at, the speed of sound. These sound waves bursted off in split second intervals, so even if Sadako were to dodge a few by turning into a shadow, she would probably be hit once she turned solid again. As Tera commenced with this attack, the dark energy around his arms began to spread to the rest of his body. He was now on-guard, and he was planning out his next move.@~

Its time, I give this a try....

Of course, Fuuma didn't consider how long Sadako could remain shadow. She stayed as the element for quite some time, though she couldn't continue with the ball of magic she had been creating. It simply disapated.
Storm clouds rolled in, and flashs of lightning were seen, alluminating the field every once and a while. Though, strangely, there didn't seem to be any thunder... It was because Sadako had called the cloud, yes, but the lightning was nothing but her Elemental Chakra for electricity put into the clouds.
Still as shadow, she called down a bolt of lightning, and it raced down to strike Fuuma.

~@ A smirk appeared on Fuuma's face as the lightning struck down.@~

Time to try this.

~@Fumma sank right into his shadow and pretty quickly since he covered him self in dark energy. He was now the one in the shadow, and thanks to the lightning hitting, the shadow expanded greatly as any shadow would, but it stretched right in front of Sadako. Tera rose from the shadow, covered in dark energy, and swung his sword towards her. As his sword lashed out, it split into the thousands of threads that created it, each one bolting towards Sadako to impale her body in thousands of sections. With Tera so close, this would be pretty hard to avoid. If she turned into a shadow, then the dark energy threads (thousands of them) would still be able to pierce the shadow, only she may not know that.@~

(Ahem, I'd like to point something out... The light from the lightning would actually disperse the shadow, forcing it to disipate into smaller shadows, like the ones from pebbles and everything... Not that it matters though. XD)

She watched as Fuuma turned into shadow as well, and commenced his attack. As his sword, accompanied by those many dark energy threads sped towards her, Sadako simply closed her eyes, then bent her shadowy form, weaving around the energy and sword. It wasn't all that hard, for it was something she had worked on during that year.
Once she was clear of that attack, she traveled at the speed of light to be across the field, and flames rose up in a wall that extended quite far either way across the plain, so it would be impossible for Fuuma to cross when he was shadow. Behind the wall, stone arrows rose up from the ground, ready to rush toward Fuuma the instant he became flesh and blood once more.

( Actually it wouldn't, being a great single beam of light that it is, shadows naturally extend from such light. Now if it was a dome of light on my shadow, where no shadow could form period, then it would dissipate. As the lightning struck the shadow, the shadow beneath it would begin to naturally extend away from the point of impact at the same speed the lightning was coming, which was the speed of light. So technically I naturally dodged your lightning bolt....)

~@The energy threads that Sadako dodged would burrow into the ground as they missed. Tera was already out of his shadow, since he came out to attack Sadako. He still had dark energy on him though, and this energy began to whip outwards like....a whip. As the stone arrows approached Tera, the whips of dark energy would grab onto the arrows, raising Tera above them, safe from harm.@~

I think--

~@ Two feathers of dark energy, from earlier, blaze down from the sky. Tera would jump on top of them, riding them in the air like flying disc'. He motioned his hands upward, and the threads of sounds bursted through the ground all over the field, and the sound created from them breaking through the ground created a shockwave from each of them, in turn making thousands of shockwaves. The shockwaves raced the field, crumbling the stone arrows with their force, and the crumbling of the arrows creates even more sound. All this sound would condense to a small orb that would rest in the center of the field.@~

I got her.

~@Tera flew high into the air, and once he was high enough, he activated the orb of condensed sound. It then exploded, destroying the field in a fury of sound slices, and as the field was being reduced to a crater, this sound would be manipulated by Tera to spread out as one massive wave of sound, using its sheer force to snuff out the flames, along with the dirt and rubble flying around. Tera waited in the air to see how Sadako would dodge this, but it was only the first part of his plan. He began forming handsigns.@~

Sadako, having had wings of her own, had flown up when Fuuma had. She was now flesh and blood, but ready to change that at any moment. As he was busy doing handsigns, Sadako flew in close, darting in for a swift roundhouse kick, to his chest, then she dispersed as shadow. Then, appearing behind him, she quickly punched right between his shoulder blades, then dispersed again, ready to keep up this game. She made sure there was no pattern to her attacks, and sometimes she didn't even attack, just to confused him. After ten attacks, and three feints, she came in with her bladed shinobi shuko, and slashed at his right shoulder from behind him. The goal was to keep him occupied so he couldn't complete his plan.

~@ Tera would barely try to dodge these attacks, because it would only waste more chakra, and with his dark energy covering his body, the damage from the hits would be reduced. He finished his hand signs first taking the first few attacks, but he was finished by the time she decided to use the blade. The dark energy whips coming from his body began to steady as Tera smirked.@~

*cough* cough*...shes good.....Hmph,

~@ The next time Sadako appeared, the whips of dark energy grabbed her, wrapping around her arms and legs. This was fairly simple for Tera, since he was able to hear the faint sound created as she formed herself. He could also feel the sound in the air that was created when she attacked, so he could have done this on multiple occasions, but he wanted to wait. With dark energy whips wrapped around her, turning into a shadow would not change her being trapped, since the only way Tera could touch Sadako while she was a shadow was with something similar to shadows, via dark energy. As she was caught, the rest of the buzz saw like feathers would bolt down from the sky at the speed of sound, aiming to ravage the trapped Sadako. Even the feathers were made from dark energy. Tera would go down to the ground, dragging Sadako along, so that she would have an even harder time dodging the feathers.@~

As the feathers of Dark energy grabbed her, she sighed. "Enough." Her whisper quiet voice stated. "I've seen enough. Fuuma, you have now been offically promoted to the rank of Jounin. Congrats." She smiled. "Now, if you'll kindly release me, I will notify my superiors..."

~@Tera gave Sadako a sceptical look, and the feathers continued there way towards the trapped Sadako. The grip of the dark threads tightened, making escape even more difficult. But right before the feathers could hit Sadako, they would stop millimeters away from her skin from all over. The threads released their grip, and Tera would give a slight sallut to acknowledge his rank and Sadako. He would disappear into his shadow, leaving Sadako seemingly trapped by the feathers, for if she moved, the feathers in their buzz saw like state would certainly cut her. He did this because it was a battle instinct for him, so he was not used to having people give up, at least not when they have a larger chakra capacity. You can never be too sure these days.@~

Sadako simply changed her state to being shadow, and carefully weaved her way out of the now still feathers. It would've been easier to blast them all away, but she left them there so that Fuuma could have some sense of pride left. Sadako then returned to a state of flesh and blood once she was clear of the feathers. "And I wish you all the best." She said quietly, the winds carrying her words to Fuuma's ears, wherever he might of been.
She spread her wings, then took off to notify the Kages.
