Akuhei Kigo: False Beliefs Empty
PostSubject: Akuhei Kigo: False Beliefs   Akuhei Kigo: False Beliefs Icon_minitime1June 23rd 2009, 6:47 pm

Akuhei Kigo grew up in a family of witches, so she knew what she was and was taught how to use her powers from the moment she was able to speak, walk, and talk. Her family was also highly religious. They were all what would appear to be a version of Christians crossed with the Buddhists. They believed two entities existed; the almighty God and the Buddha. Her religion was drilled into her from the moment she was born, and her beliefs of God and Buddha only grew. She prayed and meditated daily, while working with her magic and studies.

But one cold autumn day, Akuhei had decided to go outside and play. She tossed around her ball for long hours as the chilly winds blew through her hair. She was playing catch with a shadow copy of herself, when her magic faltered and the ball flew through the shadow copy, landing with a splash! in the well. Akuhei peered down the deep well, and let out a long sigh. Ah well. She must retrieve the ball…so down the well she went.

She fell down the well, her hands held over her head as her skirts and hair flew above her. She laughed. Despite the bitter cold, she was enjoying herself. The darkness of the well did not scare her; neither did the long shadows the full moon cast. It actually comforted her…but who wouldn’t be comfortable in their own element?

She sighed, the adrenaline from falling lost. It seemed like she had been falling for centuries….did this well never end? At that moment, she landed harshly on what might’ve been a rock floor…but she was not cold. She wasn’t damp, no trace of being wet. She was quite hot, actually. Standing up, she blinked in surprise. At her feet was a red rock floor, spikes sticking randomly from floor and ceiling as fires burned everywhere. “Were-were am I?” Akuhei asked, looking around nervously. A coat of shadows covered her, calming her slightly. “Ah, so it’s you. One of those religious fools”. Akuhei looked up and gasped. What…What was this?

Standing before her in a spiffy black tux was no other then the devil himself. He chuckled, black eyes boring into Akuhei’s head. “Who are you?” she asked, bewildered at the man’s flaming red skin and hair, black eyes so cold….”The devil, kid. Have they stopped teaching children about me? Oh, how cruel….” He said, laughing sharply. Akuhei blinked. “The…devil?” In a mere second the Devil was in front of her, one hand tilting her head up to stare at her. “They have taught you nothing. Here, let me explain”.

Through telepathy, the Devil sent Akuhei EVERYTHING. Every religion that had ever existed, the answers to all questions she’d ever had…and they pointed out something important. Her religion, which had taught her it, was the only one…was a lie. Christianity and Buddhism weren’t even supposed to go together. Her religion, her beliefs…they were all painfully false. “No…” she whispered, collapsing to the ground. “No…”

The Devil grinned wickedly, enjoying every minute of this. “I can give you the power. The power to right every lie they’ve fed you. The power to be your own god…But you seem somewhat distraught now. I’ll just leave you with this little gift. I’ll be seeing you in the near future, Akuhei….Have your answer ready by then”. Then it disappeared. It all disappeared. Hell was gone, and she was sitting down in the well, her clothes soaked and a chill in her bone. Her ball was in her hands…Then it all went black.

She woke up bare naked in her bed, a hot towel placed on her head. A black cross hung from her neck. Akuhei blinked. That wasn’t hers…How? ‘”I’ll just leave you with this little gift. I’ll be seeing you in the near future, Akuhei….Have your answer ready by then”.’ The memory echoed in her head as yesterday came flooding back. This….His gift… She sighed, and the door clicked open as Asahi, her mother, scampered into the room.

“Darling, what were you doing in the well? We couldn’t find you for a week! You’re lucky you aren’t sick!” Asahi huffed, laying down a tray of tea beside Akuhei. “Here, drink this. You’ll feel better soon…I expect to see you working extra-hard in your studies tomorrow”. Akuhei blinked as her mother left. She raised her fist in front of her face and clenched it into a fist, dark magic swirling around it, vibrating angrily. Tomorrow…Tomorrow her religion would die.

-Tomorrow-

Akuhei woke at the crack of dawn. She slipped on a black tank and army pants, complete with combat boots…The shadows surrounded her, and she herself appeared to be just that. A shadow. She walked through the house, slipping through the walls of each room, and silently killing each person with shadow or darkness magic. Take your pick. Each time she muttered the same word; “Cleanse…” After about an hour of steady work, the only witch left in the house was…her mother.

Akuhei slipped silently through the wall to her mother’s room, staring down at her sleeping body with cold eyes. She raised a hand over her mother’s body and hesitated. The wrong thing to do. Asahi’s eyes snapped open, and she grabbed her daughters’ hand. Her voice was low, steady. But her mother was scared. “Akuhei…what are you doing?” Akuhei’s eyes remained cold and her hand went rigid. “I must cleanse. Cleanse the lies of this religion…Cleanse you people of the world. I must cleanse. Cleanse…” Her mother’s eyes widened. “Akuhei-!” But it was too late. A mixture of shadows and darkness ran down her hand onto her mother’s body. They wrapped around her neck and quickly and painlessly choked her to death. “Cleanse…” Akuhei whispered, a single tear running down her face.

Now she is in the Reality. Hearing of the Head Witch Zita is what has driven her to come. Anything to become strong. Anything. She would cleanse the world of lies…All lies. It was her duty…Lies were a sin, after all. >:3
