A few days later and after much deliberation, it would be early morning as a box was set gently on Maze's bedside table. It's wrapping was a very familiar blue; the same of Sadako's eyes. Mamoru had thought it would be a fitting gift, what lay inside. He was very loathe to give Maze anything at all, after what he had seen, so he was extremely far away, manipulating the air currents for this entire thing. Right at dawn, a swift wind blew into Maze's room, swirling about for a moment, leaving traces of the soul energy that Mamoru and Sadako both shared.
Atop the box was a card without words... Instead, two perfectly drawn in ink figures appeared to be frozen as if they had been dancing just a moment before. A ribbon in blue ink wrapped around them loosely.
The box itself contained a white-gold wedding band and a brilliant sparkling diamond engagement ring. It appeared they hadn't vanished with Sadako's body afterall. There was also one other thing; a dagger with a hilt that seemed to be a polished stone that glittered the many different colours of a rainbow when the light struck it, and a simple sheathed blade that was infused with many different elemental energies of the former Sannin. The words, 'Be free, my love,' were etched into the hilt. Mamoru had found this when he went rooting through Sadako's old things back at the Twilight Palace. Sadako seemed to have crafted it a long, long time ago, when she thought she would have to leave Maze forever and go live with that dreadful Vòr. Seemed like a fitting thing to give to Maze, now, when Sadako truly did have to leave him.
