So this is where it is?

walking into the building the weird aura almost overtakes me, the search was easy enough, but i can't help but wonder is my experience high enough to even be here...

"Hello...anybody here? i'm here for my ranking exam"

(Sure thing.)

*Ken would fall through the roof of the "ranking exam building". His shirt Was ripped off and his "pants" barely pants at all. His face was tattered and he created a rathe large crater in the ground before Iba. Ken crawled slowly out of the crater, gashes on his face, slowly healing, along with other bruises from ha failed battle against the invading soul reapers.*

*Cough* "What a wonderful day..."

*He would say sarcastically before he looked up at iba. He noticed where he was and it looked like Iba wanted an exam. It was like Ken couldn't get a break.*

"Your exam begins now.."

*Ken was serious, disregarding his current condition. He wanted to hurry and get this over with. He neede to get back to the fort to do some debreifing and get some intel amoung other things on these soul reapers.*

I spin six coins around my fingers before slipping them into the bandages on my hands before doing a slight bow and transforming my left eye into choumeh the eye of the butterfly

"Hai, ready"

"You're wasting time..your exam began five seconds ago when I said begin. Stop stalling."

*Ken said pulling himself completely out of the ground, only to fall on his ass. He was quite tired and hurt. But had more than enough in him to rank this individual.*

"You only have so long before the tick tock, clocks out."

*He said looking toward Iba, foreshadowing an upcoming event that Iba may want to consider while he's just standing there.*

"Come at me...please."

looks around for weak chakra signals but cant seem to see any

"Fuck"

i flip a grain coin from under the bandages which turns into a dull gray butterfly which exploes into a thick smokescreen.

With a red blur i spin out of the smoke with a kunai in one hand and a long yellow sword in the other hoping to nab the proctor with one or the other

"A smoke screen rush in huh?"

*Ken said, still sitting on the ground. He didn't need to see to counter such a common stradegy, Ken's ears worked just fine. He reached into his pocket and flung shuriken and kunai, numbering off in the hundreds, via shuriken clone jutsu. Each individual shuriken and kunai spiraling fast enough to drill through titanium, thanks to Ken propeling them with his chakra toward Iba.*

"A more effect stradegy is to use the smoke screen to plan for a bigger move, Rather than just rushing in. Make the opponent come to you."

*Ken said, slowly rising to his feet. Trying to give pointers along the way.*

"transform!"

the yellow sword turned into a shield as the red clone threw it into the air and i land ontop of it, the red clone stops a few feet away from him, it explodes in a 20 foot circle leaving a crater in the ground.

the shield couldnt withstand the kunai, but it was enough for me to slow them down to dodge them, as i feel through my sleeve i only have one coin left, i hope this'll be enough, the black coin slides from my sleeve and lands in front of Ken as i follow with handsigns.

"summoning jutsu!" hoping i land to the ground in time

"Summoning jutsu?"

*Ken said as he watched the coin fall to the ground. He backed up a bit, the coin falling about 10 meters away from him. He watched Iba fall doing his hand signs. He wondered what he was his summon and could it possibly help him in his exam. Because as it stood, Ken was I'll impressed. He threwa kunai to the ground and made a sign.*

palm hitting the ground he summoned two rather small caterpillar and a caccoon about 10 feet long with red rubies as what appeared to be eyes going across the top.

"New formation, double chain!"

the caterpillars each turned into chains wrapping around my hands as the bandages across my arms slid up and around them, Extending them i step ontop of the caccoon and wave the chains around before launching the nearly unbreakable coil at Ken.

-*Ken would sigh as he picked up the kunai that he just threw to the ground and pull another one from out of his back pocket. Once the chains got close enough, ken extended his blades and wrapped the chains around them. He then pulled Iba toward him with unbelieveable strength, yanking him toward ken hopefully, with enought force to make it difficult to withstand the air pressure if he were to indeed get pulled.*_

the chains stab into the ground around ken and the tips turn black and solidifying stopping me before the pull can do too mcuh harm.
releasing my hold from the chains i run along the chains straight toward Ken as the caccoon behind me cracks open spewing hundreds of multicolored butterflies into the air

"Most of my jutsu rely on my butterfly, but not this one!

Crimson Wind!"

the air around me and everything within range starts to get stiff and all solid materials get as dense as stone, the bandages and the chain turn into rock as i run across them hoping to catch Ken in my sphere as i run head on towards him

"Oh?"

_*Ken said as he saw Iba running toward him at intense speeds. Ken then extended his palm toward and then palm thrusted, sending a shockwave of cruhsing force, reducing everything in it's path to ash(it being about a mile in diameter), the once though invincible chain would no doubt crumble all the same if caught in the path of the destructive wave. Ken, then grabbed his arm after he did so, it was an attack that took alot to do in his condition. However, if Iba were to be caught, his condition would be worse._*

"shit" i say under my breath thinking there was only one way to avoid being turned to ash, a black butterfly lands behind Ken as all the other butterflies change their wings to Yellow and turn into shield after shield after shield being destroyed one after another.

"Now!" and in a puff of smoke i'm gone

-the room is silent only the sound of the smoldering old butterflies until the wave calms-

another puff of smoke and i appear behind Ken

"heheh, reverse summoning and then a summoning"

i slap my palms to the grond behind him and charge my Crimson Wind again

"i refuse to lose this!" i yell as i leap towards Ken

"The point isn't always to win.."

_*Ken said, turning his head to meet Iba, who is still on the ground, his hands won't rise off from the ground. The reason why is because of Ken's kekkei genkai. The moment Iba touched the ground, billions of vines, attached themselves to Iba's molecular structure. So he was unable to move them from the ground, because to do so, he'd have to rip all of the vines from the ground, which ken gauged to be beyond his power. _*

"Rather, at this point, is to impress me by giving it your all, which you're doing. Keep it up, if you can."

_*Ken said throwing a kunai at the ground infront of Iba, an explosive tag attahced to it, exploding the second it touches the ground. Ken wouldn't let Iba know, but his last tactic was rather clever and crafty and caught ken's attention._*

all i can do is grin (if you'd like that you'll love this)

from the second i was down to my last coin i've been prepping you up for this, you are trapped in my four sided black butterfly net

it started with the black coin i threw to your feet

then the ends of the chains

and then the black butterfly i had land behind you

the kunai is stuck motionless in mid air, nothing can move unless i do, and since you made it so i can't then it looks like we're stuck here, my goal isnt always to kill, sometimes its just to stop you

"Heh..quite the technique."

*_I would say as it seems as though I am still able to speak and think and such._*

"However, how long can you maintain this technique? If I were an enemy, the instant you run out of chakra,or release the technique, I would take your life."

"well i guess this is the end, i stalled, which is pretty good, from here i would use Crimson Wind again to break free or to use another reverse summoning...but....i hurt too many of the butterflies for this, i think i've stalled you long enough sensei, i'm just going to hold out until my chakra wears out... if this jutsu breaks i'm back at square one... but we're in a room filled with exploding butterflies, i doubt you'll have much chance either"

"Trust me. They're no issue to me."

*Ken said as he had already determined this individuals rank. He was a crafty shinobi, with skill and determination. However, je had some broken jutsu that could possibly cause him his life if he were in battle. COnstructive criticism. Something Ken was well at. He simply stood there, awaiting the jutsu to run out, take care of the butterflies, and get on with his work.*

"I appreciate your concern, but I have my anbu mask for a reason."

The jutsu releases as i collapse to the ground

the free flowing chakra float through the air and i draw a kunai to defend myself as the black and purple butterflies pop into smoke one by one.

"Damn....not enough chakra for this many"

I slowly try to stand as my legs give way over and over.

"I will pass this test"

I finally bring myself to my feet as i stare down Minamino-sensei

*Ken pats Iba and walks past him.*

"You have already passed."

stuckin in awe as the smoke blows away i fall to my knees with a bit of a grin on my face

"I did it..." and collapse backwards
