Derrick is one of the only natural born residents in the Kingdom of Chaos not born of noble blood. Derrick was born to Derrick Waters IV and Dianna Waters at the oceans of Vescrutia were the Waters clan, the strongest clan of Transfigures(the Waters) in Vescrutia resided. The Waters clan excelled in Water techniques but his mother's birth clan excelled in Air based techniques so Derrick was the only member of his clan to schooled in an technique other than the traditional ones of the clan. This upset many of the Elders of the Waters especially Derrick's grandfather (Derrick Waters Senior) because being the originator of the Waters Clan techniques he knew thought that his grandson would be weaker than the rest of member of his clan. So he decided to train Derrick himself in not just the Waters clan techniques but in the art of human to animal transfiguration. Something only the Elders of the Waters Clan were allowed to practice but a few of the Clan members had naturally due to the Clan's strong affinity with the moon. Derrick became very adept in his combat techniques but could only transfigure halfway until the day were all of the Waters men that were of age got together for the right of passage. Each member of the Waters men picked another member of the clan to battle for their position and right to live in the Waters clan with those undergoing the rite for the first time being banished if they lost. Derrick won his match against a one of the younger but well established warriors easily but the Alpha Male of the Clan challenged his Grandfather who far to old to battle anymore but the rules said he had to compete if challenged but the rules also said that any Full blood relative could take the place of the challenged at anytime. Derrick knew the Alpha Male would kill his grandfather so he willingly took his place. Derrick battled the Alpha Male for 38 days and 38 nights with neither of them giving an inch until they both Transfigured into the strongest transfiguration in the know universe, the wolf. Derrick used his newly found power to defeat the Alpha Male and take his place in the Hierarchy of the Waters Clan. Derrick decided that it would be worthwhile to attain so allies within Vescrutia so he went to join the Kingdom of Chaos.
