Just as there are terms for a Meister to know in Shibusen, there are also terms for a Witch to know in the Witch Province. There are some abilities that can be shared by both Witches and Meisters (such as Soul Perception or Self Resonance), and there are some only for Witches (like Transformation and Soul Magic.) Typically, witches use more magical means of Soul Abilities than Wavelength abilities, but they can alter between the two, or even combine the two. Naturally, you can make up your own, as these are only the STANDARD abilities and are only REQUIRED if you wish to excel further in said line of ability.
Soul Perception: The ability to see, assess and analyze one's soul. By focusing on an individual soul, a skilled Soul Perception practitioner can actually "read" a soul and make accurate judgments about the person's characteristics, personality and wavelength. This can be used to hear or see one's soul.
Self Resonance: A technique that only requires resonance with oneself. A majority of witches use their magic instead of their wavelength to achieve a Self Resonance, which is generally easier all around. You will focus your magic/wavelength throughout your body and have it flow to and from your own soul to amplify itself to be used as you please.
Soul Protect: An advanced form of magic developed by Witches to neutralize their soul's wavelength, effectively camouflaging it and making it appear as if it were a normal human soul. This particular magic was invented by witches to counter Soul Perception, an ability present in humans that can allow them to differentiate between the soul of a human and the soul of a witch.
While a witch using Soul Protect is generally safe from being detected, the downside is that so long as the magic is in effect she will be unable to perform any magic, leaving her effectively helpless. Only by dispelling Soul Protect will a witch be able to again use her powers.
Soul Disperse: A highly advanced form of magic that is only attainable by high-class and high-ranking witches. Using magic, this allows a witch to break up her souls into tiny fragments, using magic to still be able to control where it goes. While in a fragmented form, a witch can reform her soul into her Transformed state (if she has one) or use Soul Possession to find a new body to possess. It is generally used when the body is dying or has become too weak to use.
Transformation: A relatively simple magical ability, that allows the user to alter their form between both human and a specific animal shape, relating directly (AND ONLY) to the witch's respective magic theme. The process is usually accompanied by a distinctive cloud of smoke, no matter what the resulting body is. While in a transformed state, a witch tends to share the traits of the animal they can transform into, while still retaining the ability to speak.
Arithmetic Magic - Magic Calculation: A spell used by Witches as a 'place maker' for placing the exact coordinates of a magical spell, or as an enhancement to power up spells. The addition of multiple Witches in the casting of the spell may speed up its completion time and/or enhance its effectiveness. Also, the more complex and powerful the item the Magic Calculations is being used on is, the more difficult it is to use Magic Calculations, and the more time it takes to analyze and assess the usage.
Familiar: Not so much an ability to learn as it is an already known ability by itself by witches. It is typically just a witch's magic in the form of a being that is similar to their theme. (Such as, Zita's parasites.) The familiars can have a wide array of abilities, but generally are only as strong as a witch's magic. However, because of the versatility of the familiars, they can basically do almost anything (so long as it makes some sense.) They can even take the form of magic/wavelength if not a solid form.
