Looking Around

*kai would wander around aimlessly until he wound up at the lost cathedral. he'd slowly walk around, feeling he should be cautious. he felt strange being here, as if he had been there before. at the same time, he felt a presence all around him, but he didn't know what it was*
hmmm...what's going on. its the same thing i felt from this jewel but it's stronger here
*as kai closes his eyes, chakra from all around begins to be absorbed into his body*

**Of course, Shiro's curiosity couldn't be controlled. Shiro had appeared in the doorway of the massive church with his hands in his pockets. He smirked at the guy standing in front of him. It was like a reunion of old friends was just taking place everywhere all the sudden. He stared for a bit, waiting to see if Kai would realize someone else was in the hall with him.**

*as the chakra was being absorbed, kai's eyes would dart open. he'd turn around and stare at the man in front of him. taking a step back, he'd stop with a curious look on his face*
you seem...familiar. but, i can't remember
*the jewel around kai's neck would glow white as he rubs his head*

**Laughing, Shiro started to walk forward, his smirk turning into a full smile now.**

"Well now... Looks like everyone's been on a vacation..."

**He stopped a couple yard away from Kai, more as a precaution. He stared again, more at the flow of chakra coming to Kai's body. He was trying to see why exactly that was happening.**

*the chakra continued to pour into kai's body, but it was as if he wasn't doing it. was the energy from the cathedral doing this on its own? kai covered his face with his hand and screamed in pain. the jewel around his neck changed black and radiated darkness. through his fingers, kai's ryuugan was visible and shining gold*
shi...ro ka...zuma
*kai would extend his hand towards shiro and chakra would concentrate to it, creating a small ball of energy*
what is this?
*kai's face would still be hidden behind his hand as he spoke. although his body moved harmlessly, it was clear that his intent was opposite*
what the hell am i!?
*his face no longer covered, his expression would show the frustration and fear held inside him. the ball would quickly be shot towards shiro as kai jumped back to increase the distance*
what's happening? did i do that? i...i've got to calm down so i can get answers

**A quick tuck and roll to his right side would give Shiro the means to evade the sudden shot. He then wiped his forehead of sweat dripping down letting out a sigh of relief.**

"That was a close one..."

**Still knealt down, Shiro stared again, looking at Kai in a observing way. He still kept his guard up being he was just shot at. Something didn't seem right, giving Shiro a reason to feel uneasy. Still he managed to keep his smile as he looked on.**

"Having a bad day are we...?"

shiro...what's going on? where am i?
*kai spoke like he knew what going on, but his voice showed his confusion. ryu and hayate would form in his hands as he takes an attack stance. the ryuugan was still shining and the chakra continued to pour into kai*
answers...i need answers
*kai would dash toward shiro and slash at him, throwing a kick behind it as he charged chakra into the blades*

**He turned to the side letting the slash hit the ground, bringing up his right hand to catch Kai's kick. He stood there for a second, trying to catch a glimps of Kai's eyes. He didn't want to, but Shiro was still not sure as to what was going on at the moment. Taking Kai's leg, Shiro thrust the leg down and took a leap back out of striking distance. Once again, Shiro didn't have his trusted companion, so instead he stood up taking his very own stance.**

"What answers Kai... What are you looking for...?"

**He spoke low enough for only his ears to hear of course, being Kai wasn't exactly in his righ tmind at the momemnt.**

*kai just stood there, breathing heavily as he stared at shiro. as the chakra continued to poor in, kai's mindstate would seem to be worsening. the tenjin and midnight chakra built up inside him would begin to seep out into the air throughout the cathedral*
RAAAAAAAAAARGH!
*kai slammed both swords into the ground and dropped to one knee. the energy in the swords would snake throughout the floor in the cathedral, heading towards shiro with extreme speed. once it got close, it erupted from the ground towards shiro with enough force to send him flying out the cathedral. however, the two chakra created a dome like wall behind him to keep shiro inside*
damnit...it's too overwhelming. i can't control it

**Shiro had time enough only to bring his arms in front of him in a X and brace himself. Pushed to the edge of the dome, Shiro fell to the floor in a kneel, his right hand propping himself up as he shook his head.**

"Dammit... Didn't want to go through with this but..."

**He stood up and extended his right hand, a swirl of flames flourishing to form the red blade of Muramasa.**

"Kai don't make me do this..."

**Muramasa now formed, Shiro gripped the handle and swung the blade outward to get rid of the few embers still around it. He let the hilt set on his shoulder as a ember of flames would grow as his feet and spew into a ravaging aura.**

"Don't make me do this dammit..."

*the two blades kai had slammed into the ground would continue the chakra drawing process. as the shine from them grew, the blades would appear to be whistling. kai stood to his feet and stared at shiro. his mind was saying stop but his body wouldn't listen. he put his palms out and shot a beam of tenjin energy at the ceiling of the cathedral. the beam would bounce off and head towards shiro from above. as this happened, kai would be forming midnight spears and tossing them directly at shiro*
SHIROOOOO!!!!!
*kai would look to the blades in the ground then back up to shiro as if analyzing the situation with the ryuugan ablaze*

**Holding Muramasa in his right hand, Shiro dove forward, sticking out his left hand as he came back down towards the ground. His left hand would touch down on the cement floor, avoiding the beam and evading the fist few javelins, he pushed up to finish the flip, grabbing Muramasa with both hands in mid spin and clashing with another spear. Back on his feet, Shiro began his charge forward, knocking one spear after another out of his way as he tried to get closer. His smile was gone now, a look of worry on his face. He held his blade with both hands, the base set in front as a precaution, stopping a good 10 yards in front of Kai.**

"Dammit you idiot... Snap out of it..."

*kai would cover his left eye as the ryuugan got even brighter in it. he was planning a few steps ahead as the chakra ceased pouring into the blades*

*as kai uttered this word, the area around him and shiro would darken as if clouds had rolled in. the vibe of darkness would be heavy and seem to have a scent as the purple chakra made itself visible around kai. the pressure would begin to crack the floor underneath him. his right eye began to shine red as he stared at shiro. the ryuugan was giving him a glimpse of a battle he'd once had with shiro. this was perfect seeing as how this new technique reacted differently to opponents*
NIGHTMARE REDEMPTION!
*as kai removed his hand from his left eye, everything caught in the darkness would begin to twist and distort and radiate the same darkness coming from kai. crackling with purple thunder, shadow tentacles would shoot out from every direction towards shiro in an attempt to slash and electrify him. as if this wasn't enough, dark spires began to erupt from the ground all around the two. kai would slowly make his way to his blades, the jutsu that he had just used expending a lot of chakra*

**Instead of pulling back, Shiro took the chance to get closer to his friend. He darted forward in a acrobative state, leaping about tentacles as if he were running a track race, except his speed was alot more faster. Shiro made it passed Kai's blades alot quicker than he could and had now placed himself in the danger zone by getting so close, but he was prepared. His eyes met with Kai's own, the spires still erupting about and Shiro's ravaging aura had increased now.**

"Kai... It's me.... Shiro... Can't you see???"

**He had his left hand sticking out like reaching out almost, Muramasa simmering into a small ember and fusing with the aura about Shiro. The shift in the pressure in the air would have been too much for any regular person to withstand, even now Shiro had a sick feeling in his stomach. The look on his face was almost pleading. He was still contemplating attacking one of his friends. It was his nature.**

*shiro had made the mistake of looking kai in the eye. the ryuugan's shine would intensify as one of the few ocular jutsu kai had activated*

*kai said these words low but they were still audible to shiro as well. the ckakra from the blades kai had in the ground would snake towards shiro and wrap around his feet. kai's eyes would begin to pour out chakra that slowly crept towards shiro. kai's clan symbol would appear on his head as symbols began to encircle the two. kai raised his hand above his head and opened his mouth...but before he said anything, the ryuugan vanished. the lightening and spires would cease and fade as the surroundings returned to normal. kai dropped to his knees and shook his head*
shiro...why can't i remember anything?
*finally snapped out of whatever the hell just happened, kai looked up at shiro as he sat on the floor*

**Shiro couldn't help but let out a rather long sigh of relief as if he had been holding his breath or something. He fell backwards landing on his back, the aura around his body simmering down to just about nothing. He wiped his forhead as his eyes were glued to the ceiling, a smile slowly forming on his face.**

"Things were just about to get annoying..."

**He shot back up in a sitting position, both his arms set on his knees as he looked at the frustrated Kai.**

"You sure you're back to normal now?"

*kai nodded as he wiped his forehead. he smiled back as he managed to get to his feet. he still had no recollection of anything but the few memories of shiro that were slowly forming in his head*
shiro...i'm sorry
*he now felt bad. the fact that he had just attacked a friend with full intent on killing him kind of frightened kai*
i don't know what's going on. i can't remember anything and i can't control these...powers of mine
*kai dropped his head then looked at the ceiling*
