Souls for the Cold

Perura wanted to get started right away on her soul collecting. the faster she got it done, the quicker she could rise through the ranks, get more powerful, blah blah blah yadda yadda Death scythe. Alright, with that said, Perura stood in the land of Eternal Rain, with a very appropriate black umbrella to match her all black attire, and waited for a few unsuspecting monsters to come along so that she could destroy them and consume their souls. She hoped to become a "chuunin" quickly.

In the distance of Perura, in her line of vision would be a flower of sorts coming from the ground, all alone. This flower would slowly sprout higher and higher from the ground, being revealed to be a Nymph impersonating a normal flower, her root-legs still stuck in the ground.



The Nymph giggled and blew a kiss to Perura from afar, doing other random flirtatious act as well.

Perura was unphased by the flirtatious acts of the silly flower, or so it seemed from her outside expression which always remained the same. On the inside however, she could be described as agitated, angry.... mad? She put her umbrella down and moved both her arms out and pointed at the Nymph, moving a little closer to get a full view of the plant before both her arms turned into three barrel Gatling guns which she brought toward forming them into the six barrel Gatling gun that she was. She opened fire, bullet after bullet rapidly leaving the chamber aiming to pelt the Nymph quickly and dispatch it just as quickly. It was good that the Nymph was still attached to the ground, sort of made her an easier target for Perura.

The Nymph was actually lucky to still be attached to the ground, really, for she could travel through the ground wherever her roots had sunk into. Thus, the Nymph would slip through the ground once fire was opened upon her, popping up elsewhere, out of Perura's vision. The Nymph conjured up a little bit of magic, pointing her hand at Perura and using Fira, making a moderately large explosion of swirling fire, trying to incinerate her with it. The Nymph giggled lightly and detached her roots from the ground, grabbing hold of a tree...

Surprised, though her face didn't show it, she quickly stopped her firing and turned her arms back to normal, looking around where she was for a sign of the elusive little flirt. Not seeing anything in front of her, she thought that the flirt had to be behind her. She started to turn, but was greeted with magic, that conjured up her worst enemy...

" .... Fire.... "

She took the hit, not moving from where she was and being blown away fairly quickly and damaged because of this stubbornness. She wasn't a little weight to pain however and stood fairly quickly, walking back to where she initially was when she first began her assault on the flirtatious plant, looking to find the source of that magic attack.

The Nymph was more agile and swift than anything, as her power wasn't exactly that great. But hitting her would be far more difficult than Perura would assume. The Nymph jumped high into the air and blew yet another kiss at Perura, though this one embedded with magic. Magic started to swirl around Perura, moreso from the ground than anything. Immediately after doing that, the Nymph shot off several Fira's, making explosions of swirling fire surround Perura's area rather than try to hit her, as she figured that Perura would try to dodge from the kiss. The Nymph landed in another tree, seeming to camouflage with it right after doing so, making her hopefully undetected.

Perura's eyes spotted the Nymph briefly when it jumped in the air. She turned a strand of her hair into something like a laser pointer and used it to lock-on to the position of the Nymph, like a homing device. As the Nymph moved, the strand of her and the laser would follow, the laser wouldn't harm the Nymph since it was only concentrated to be like a laser pointer and not a stronger laser.

Perura didn't dodge the kiss, she wouldn't risk being hit by the fire again, even though she had no idea that the Nymph had casted fira until the explosions started to go off around her after the kiss touched what it needed to touch. The Nymph wouldn't be camouflage when she landed in the tree, because Perura's laser was lock- on and giving her location away. The only reason Perura hadn't attacked yet was because the Nymph was in a tree and as such she would be able to dodge just as she had dodge before. This was just a hunch of Perura's, but she was more than sure that she was right about.

She didn't seem to dodge the Silent Kiss, and because of that, Perura would be Silenced for the time being. The Nymph wasn't sure if that would help her out, but it would keep her from using anything sound-based or any magic or wavelength or etc. etc. And that was a plus. But Perura's laser was still locked on her... Which, in turn, was a bad thing. Only one move left to do~!

The Nymph raised her hands up high, the sky started to turn dark...

When everything cleared, Perura noticed that the sky was starting to get dark, which wasn't good. She was already soaked because of the rain and she was starting to get very agitated, though the cool breeze of the wind blowing her wet dress felt like esctasy to her. She ignored the feelings, for now, and followed her laser to the tree, before a large chunk of her hair turned into one of the barrels from her gatling gun and fired a high concetration of laser at the tree, slicing through it and hopefully knocking the Nymph out the tree and making her lose her focus on the magic that she had to be casting. It would be so great if she was smashed by the tree too.... so great...

The Nymph was caught off guard by the firing of bullets, naturally messing up her casting and the sky would return to normal. She Nymph fell, but quickly leapt from the branch she was in onto the ground, slipping back into the ground and appearing near another tree. She sighed, noticing that she'd need to be out of the sights of this girl to conjure up her magic. So, once again, with her magical abilities prepped up, the sky would darken as if coming to night time...

It was too late, Perura had a lock on the Nymph and no matter where she went, the laser that was locked to her would follow. It was a homing beacon of sorts, and once it caught you in it's light, then you were caught. Perura turned around and faced the new direction of the Numph and even started to run in that direction, large chunks of her hair turning into six separate barrels that all aimed at the Nymph and fired, not bullets but highly concentrated lasers that aimed to slice through the Nymph. Perura had noticed that the Numph was trying to use the same spell over and over now, which meant that she was trying to end it and so was Perura.

The Nymph was busy conjuring her spell, thinking she was safe when she noticed that more bullets were being fired... At her. She clearly was not safe and she didn't know why. Many bullets were fired in her direction, most of them grazing her, but one hitting a crucial point in her leg, causing her to wail in pain. She needed to get out of this jam...

Naturally, her power was still the same, even with bullets hurting her, so she shot back into the ground quickly and reappeared elsewhere, though not as close as last time, and this time was right next to a tree. She grabbed onto the tree and started to concentrate, draining the tree of its nutrients and giving them to herself, causing her to rejuvenate her body and heal her wounds rather swiftly, to say the least. It was at that time that she realized she had to fight offensively. But she could quickly end this if she could just use this one spell... She'd try it one more time. The sky became dark, just like the night's...

Perura looked to the darkening sky, before following her laser scope's line of vision. She faced that direction, putting her arms out and turning them into the six barrel gatling gun, as well as turning large chunks of her hair into six other barrels that all converge on the Nymph's position by following the scope. Each and of the hair barrels, fired highly condensed lasers that would cut through anything in their path, so it was no big thing for them to slice through the tree that the Nymph was all, it took about two. The other four lasers converged into one very large blast, capable of engulfing the Nymphs entire body and incinerating it, while the six barrel gatling gun she turned her arms into started to fire bullets rapidly at the Nymph. She was trying to dispatch it before the spell was finished.

The Nymph was still trying her hardest to get this spell completed, but it seemed as though Perura's aim was too precise for her and she ended up being shot with these large attacks. The skies would return to normal as the Nymph was incinerated, her soul floating where she once was, being worth about 6 souls. The Land of Eternal Rain fell silent from activity afterward.

Perura walked towards the soul that was floating towards her ever so slowly. She picked up her umbrella, seeing no reason to open it now since she was already wet, in more ways than one. She held it on her arm and stopped in front of the soul, clapping her hands together quickly and then devouring the soul.

Perura turned on her heels and exited the lands of eternal rain, seeing no point of being there any longer since there was nothing else going on.
