Nero & Terra's Training...

Thanks to Terra, Nero's life was saved by her Uncle Kham after Nero threw himself into battle under the blazing hot sun that doesn't work well with his vampire blood. After Nero waking, he agreed to be trained by Kham who is the brains and direction behind Nero's power. Terra as well would join in, never leaving her brothers side. Now they venture into the observatory left to fend for themselves for 24 hours until Mahk-X returns. Little do they know what is lurking inside its shadows.

Terra: YAY!

Nero: Um... Damn...

*The both of them, one upside down, were transported into a dark forested area, Nero clothesless and Terra... Upside down. They looked at each other, Nero saddened and terra blissfully content with the situation. Nero scratches the back of his head, not sure what to do next.*

Nero: So, what do you wanna do? We could stay here and hide or keep moving to try to avoid danger.

Terra: I don't know. I kinda want to see what's out here. It could be cool.

*Nero facepalms and groans.*

Nero: Well, that's cool I guess. Let's go.

*They both start moving in some arbitrary direction, Nero walking and Terra floating upsidedown, smiling.*

((It's weird that she floats upside down...))

-*The observatory would stir, as if it was alive itself. Inhaling and exhaling as the two children walked through its depths. The sounds would continue, unfortunately from the depths of the forest would fire vines whipping through the forest heading for Nero and Terra aiming to trip them off of their feet and then some. The strength of which could even stress Tera's shields. The vines were whipping through the ground kicking up all types of dirt and rubble on the way. The forest came to life.*-

*Terra floated a bit higher, actually a lot higher into the air to dodge the vines, but she kept looking down curiously. She didn't take Nero with her, so he was left to his devices, but he was quite ok. He was tripped up by a few vines, but he fought his way back to his feet, jumping from tree to tree carefully. He looked down on the vines hoping that they wouldn't give chase, then up to Terra.*

Nero: Lucky you can fly, huh?

Terra: I'll walk if you want me to.

*Terra turned herself right side up finally and landed softly next to Nero. They both started moving through the trees, so they wouldn't be caught off guard.*

The trees moved! Merging the trees together making a dense wall of trees forming a hedge of vines of sorts blocking the twins in. it would take an exhaustible amount of effort to break through the density. Now... with them trapped. Vines shot out from the walls threatening to impact and wind them to concussions. The beast still hadn't revealed itself, but clearly they were engaging a foe.

*Both twins were slammed to the ground in the middle of the makeshift arena. They regained their composure relatively quick, but the both of them weren't completely ready. Terra was airheadedly aware of what was going on and Nero was trying his hardest to keep up. They watched back to back as the trees merged around them. The vines coming for them were easily dodged by the two of them moving in unison, but to mount a counterattack would be almost impossible; how were they supposed to fight a whole forest?*

-From angels unknown shot wood needles aiming to pin the twins up against the wall of the arena so the beast can land a first and final killing stroke. It seemed that the sides of the area were morphing into something more physical something that could be attacked. But not completely at the moment.-

*The needles fly from every direction and Terra takes the initiative to put up a barrier around herself and Nero. Nero calls Luna Diviner to his hand and his heart rate increases. Everything slows down around him. He watches as the needlesget stuck in Terra's field, listening to the slowed down sound of glass cracking. He looked to his sister who was looking very stressed. The Needles were straining her mental abilities as they broke through. He was worried for her since he couldn't do anything without hurting her, so he had to wait until either she broke down or the needles stopped. Either way, he had to be ready to move fast.*

*Seizing the opportunity granted the needles stopped for a super brief moment and a mass of black slammed into Terra's shield harder than the needles themselves. The beast took form and peered at Terra and Nero aiming to strike fear with is appearance. It had just found it's meal for the evening.*



*The beast snarled it's teeth, it liked its prey to fight back. It's what kept it going.*

Nero: Aaaaah shit...

*Nero watched helplessly as the beast emerged and broke the shield Terra was sustaining. It shattered into glass-like shards before dissipating into the air. Terra was thrown into the air, now completely passed out from the mental strain of her telekinesis being stressed beyond its ability. Nero catches her easily and rides the force into a tree, slamming his back into it. It hurt, but he shook it off and threw Terra over his shoulder, wielding Luna Diviner in his right hand. He was ready to protect his sister with all he had, but that may not be much. This monster looked like it clearly had the upper hand.~

-*The beast howled, a howl that shattered the arena that they were imprisoned in, it was as if it was giving Nero breathing room to make the fight last longer. The concussive force of the scream would be felt by nero and rattle his bones hopefully stunning him. After that, the beast dug it's paws into the ground and charged towards nero carving a trench with its stride aiming to slam into him like he did terra.*-

*Nero was able to see everything in slow motion, so he was completely aware of the beast's movement. This also meant that he felt every rumble of the air, so he was already moving away from it. Nero had taken off to the right, breaking through whatever rubble he could with Luna Diviner. He knew he couldn't take the beast by himself and he had his sister to look out for, so he booked it as hard as he knew how without hurting Terra. He hoped the beast was too slow to know what happened. If not, he'd have to try his best to break though his weakness and find some way to fight back. He had two lives to take care of now.*

*Multiple silhouettes of the same beast can be seen trailing Nero from both sides as he ran through the forest. They were a foot or two behind him but seemed as if they were running just to keep up. The figures would charge towards Nero aiming to cut off his advance with their attacks as if attacking him from both sides all at the same time; charging backwards and forwards.*

Fuck meeeee....

*Nero did the only thing that he could in the situation and began spinning. He spiraled into the air like a helicopter. He aimed to smash Luna Diviner into as many of the beasts as hard as he could without hurting Terra, but that was debatable. Nero didn't have a long reach so they would have to be pretty close for it to work. If not, he'd still head straight into the sky, aiming to get some distance and breathing room.~

*The beasts were swatted away by Nero's spinning. It seemed that he was safe for now, but in the air he would be a sitting duck. As it seemed, the beast didn't dare pursue in the air for fear of airborne predators. Nero had a brief moments reprieve until the next threat came his way. But if he continued his ascent into the skies he was in for some trouble.*

*Nero was in perfect shape. He had swatted away the beasts and that let him fall back into the trees below. He landed on a branch and awayed Luna Diviner, placing Terra against the tree. He raised her face and looked her over, hoping to see what was wrong with her. He couldn't see anything, but she was still out cold.*

Dammit Terra... I'm sorry I can't protect you better. I suck!

*Nero looks around nervously before he sits down on the branch and rests his face in his hands. It hasn't been 20 minutes and they're already on the ropes. Nero was nothing without Terra. It hit him hard. He almost started crying as he thought about that fact more and more. He was broken...*

*Nero would find that the branch he landed on overlooked an expansive field of nothing but grass which wisped harsh winds every now and then eventually... the wind spoke to him.*

Why so helpless little one...

*The wind would hopefully fill Nero's ears with a calming feeling and a sense of security. The source of these winds unknown.*

*Nero just rubbed his face more, grunting in frustration. His dad told him that he should look after his sister with all he was. The two of them were a family and family always has each others' back. Nero's thoughts then wandered to the future, the future he was from. He remembered how he became a vampire... The same weakness he was exhibiting now. The same weakness that took his friend from him before he had repaid his debt... And now he was going to have another life resting on his hands.*

FUCK! I can't do anything by myself!

*His despair begins to give rise to anger...*
