Maze.....?

Sadako alighted on the front steps, and without pausing, hurried up the steps. The dark energy that she had earned when she first became a vampire pulsed around her, almost painfully, demanding fresh blood. No, Thought Sadako, utterly disgusted, I will not give in to that damn thirst...! She quickened her steps, marching onward.
Finally she reached her destination, Maze's room. Of course, he wasn't home, but it seemed a fitting place to wait for him.
Now feeling a bit dizzy, she stumbled into the room, clutching her head against the horrible stabbing pain that assailed it, she collasped on the bed, and curled into a tight ball, a few tears escaping from her tightly closed lids, Maze.... she thought, being careful to not broadcast the thought through the telepathic link they shared because of the rings that the Twilight nin had given them, Please come soon... Please save me from this darkness, this agony...
Please save me from myself....

Her eyes snapped open, and she gave a muffled cry, suddenly enveloped in her own shadows. Within her, a tiny speck of good that remained protested, making it so that Sadako fell into a deep coma, her breathing deepening and her heart slowing... Her eyes slid shut and the darkness around her was absorbed into her body, retreating to her soul...

May stumbled along, almost in a daze as she traveled from shadow away from the wedding reception and towards the Labyrinth... She felt as though she was being tugged on puppet strings. As she met up with the Golem guards, she simply sank through the shadow at their feet, slipping past them with ease, leaving the two standing there and looking confused. They raised an alarm which no one cared about, at the moment.
May made her way up the steps, tracing the same path that Sadako had gone, all the way up to that same bedroom where the Sannin lay, in a deep coma. At first, her eyes were cast downward, looking at her feet, then slowly, she looked up...
The focus of her eyes changed, and a pulsating darkness wrapped around just one speck of light became Sadako, and Mayumi screamed.
Instantly, the two were transported to an alternate reality, suspended in time.

The only thing that was left to say that the two had ever been there was a black feather from Sadako's wing, her sword and Lucifer. The kitten mewed pitifully, scared that now he was alone.

[LMAO! Sure Aeon. Lucifer is a smart cat really, very intune with the emotions of everyone. Though he's just a kitten, (Even as time goes by, he seems unaffected) Lucifer seems to know more then he should. He can also sense the intentions of everyone. No exceptions. :P ]

Everything was dark..
Mayumi slowly came back to being aware, though it felt as though she had just been kicked in the head by a horse... She groaned quietly and sat up slowly. The soft feel of grass beneath her told May that she had to be somewhere outside. A slight breeze rustled her hair, and she warily viewed her surroundings.
As her eyes adjusted to the darkness of what was night, she saw that Sadako lay not too far away, and automatically, the focus of May's eyes shifted again, and she gasped. Swirling darkness and a thousand demons, all trying to attack that one speck of light... She had to do something... But what? Nothing sprang to mind, but as May watched that little speck of light, she realized that it seemed... Dormant?
Knowing that she had to get closer, and hating every minute of it, she carefully crawled toward the Sannin, but the demons seemed to pay her no mind. Instead, they were intent on the speck of goodness, the one thing that kept them from taking over Sadako's body....

Maze would open the door to his home after he was finished with work for that day. "Sado I'm home!!" I yelled out to her but she didn't respond or warp to see me. Maze could of sworn that earlier that day he had heard Sado's voice in his head and thought he might come and check on her. Una and Yoko ran about playing tag there the house.
Una: Oh hi maze!!
Yoko: Welcome home.
"Hey you two...say have you seen Sado anywhere?" The two looked at each other and then back at me and shook their heads. "Oh ok. Hey I'm tired I'm going to go lay down for a bit."
Una: Your such an old man...come on Yoko let's keep playing
Yoko: *giggles* Ok.
The two continued their game of tag as I warped myself to my room. I'd open the door and on the ground I found a black feather. I picked it up and like a flash the events that had transpired only moments ago came into my mind. My eyes watered as I griped the feather tightly knowing that their was nothing I could do for Sado.

Faintly, ever so faintly, Sadako could sense that Maze now knew what happened... But her mind was not her own, and she couldn't send him any thoughts to let him know... That... She could die...
No, it would be better just to leave him be for the moment...
Mamoru hummed with his own soul energy for a moment, then took on his human appearance. His eyes were filled with tears, same as Maze's. "I failed..." He said miserably, "I was supposed to keep her safe, but I failed..." He sobbed once, leaning against a bedpost for support. "I'm sorry Sadako..."

Sadako felt the anguish of both men at once, and it was enough to make her soul quail... She couldn't do anything.. She was helpless...
Just then, she noticed another presense close by... She suddenly knew who it was.... Mayumi??
The girl cried out Sadako's name, but it seemed very far away to the Sannin... May would notice as the little part of good flickered a bit, acknowledging that she knew that the Chuunin was there.

Seeing the flicker of light, Mayumi crawled just a bit closer, still careful of the demons surrounding the fallen Sannin. "Sadako, please, you have to fight them... I... I can't help much, but I'll try..."
May closed her eyes, centering herself as much as she could, then began slowly drawing away some of the shadows that surround Sadako. It was difficult, for the shadows were like leeches, reluctant to part with their host.
Advancement was painfully slow, and for every shadow or demon she managed to pull off, several more seemed to take it's place. The flicker of light did not change.
"Sadako! Come on, please! You have to help me... I can't do this on my own!!"
A small voice, sounding very much like Sadako then sounded in her head, 'But how...?'
"I don't know! Just try! Please!" May shouted, and started making her attacks with her mind against the shadows more violent. The spark flickered, and then started to pulse with energy, but still, May didn't let up on her attack.

As soon as May had finished her pleading cry, Sadako retreated within herself... What could she possibly do to help...?
While she mulled over possible things, she also started to gather as much chakra as she could, chakra of every nature she could summon. The little speck of good seemed to swell, and the demons hissed, attacking with much more violence, though they were unable to inflict any damage...
Two words came to Sadako's mind, but she didn't dare utter them... Not yet... 'Mayumi... please... get out of here... quickly... hide somewhere safe...'
By this time, the air around her thrummed with chakra waiting to be released.

((From what I can read, I think the cat is back where Mayumi and Sadako disappeared from, at Maze's Labyrinth....))

As Sadako gathered her chakra, she realized she didn't have enough for what needed to be done... Sending the thought along the telepathic link that she had with Maze, she cried Maze! Please, lend me your strength...! I... I can't do this, not even with Mayumi's help...

Hearing Sado's cry Maze stood. "S..sado!! Where are you??!! Who's Mayumi!!??" Maze started to look around the room in a worried panic.

I... I don't know where I am... But Mayumi was a Chuunin at the wedding... You would've seen her around Grave... But please, send me some chakra... These shadows around me, they keep attacking, draining my strength... Her voice slowly started fading I... I don't think I can last much longer...

"You got honey just hold on!" Maze stops he's searching and tries to send his chakra threw the telepathic link and to Sado. "Here take as much as you need!"

Sadako's voice was still faint, but got alittle stronger. Thank-you... she said, taking quite a bit of chakra, and gathering it with her own. Once she was satisfied that she could hold her own, she uttered the two words that she had thought of before...
"Morning's Glory..."
The shadows shreiked as if they were being burned alive as that one speck of light began to grow, casting a brillant light from Sadako's body. Mayumi would watch as the shadows were all but vanquished, only a solitary one remaining, hiding behind the light like a dog cowering before her mistress. Sadako's consciousness started to dim, a great tidal wave of exhaustion sweeping over her.
Maze, I love you... Was her last thought, broadcasted over their link, before everything went black.
Her heartbeats got fainter and fainter, and her breathing all but stopped, as she hovered on the brink of death, hardly any chakra remaining to keep herself alive.

"Sadako-sama!!!!" Mayumi exclaimed, crawling back to kneel beside the Sannin as the shadow demons disappeared from her sight. She watched as that speck of light dimmed.... "No, you can't leave, not now! Sadako, DON'T YOU DARE DIE ON ME!!! NOT HERE!!!!!"
Concentrating, May closed her eyes, channeling her chakra to her hands, then to Sadako's heart chakra. Slowly, she felt Sadako's consciousness begin to stir..
"Yes, that's it, Sadako...." Mayumi felt tired, but she still transferred Chakra until Sadako's eyes fluttered open.

Her eyes unfocused, but her voice the same, she slowly took in her surroundings with a bloodshot gaze. "Mayumi... What is this place...? Where is it...?" She blinked, her pupils dilating slightly, and her irises still brilliantly blue.

Mayumi shook her head. "I don't know.... But I think I have a way to get out.. Uhm, I think..." Mayumi looked away guiltily.

Sadako was puzzled, "And what might that be, Mayumi?"

"Uhm..." May paused, clearing her throat, "Uh, when you were out, I kinda got a glimpse of a few of your memories..." She blushed, "An.. And on the day of your wedding.... The Twilight nin gave you that ring... Right?" She pointed to the white gold wedding band that decorated Sadako's left ring finger, along with the diamond ring.

Sadako laughed, "Yes they did... The ability for the ring to transport me to Maze... I forgot all about it!! ... But I only wonder.. Will you be able to follow, Mayumi...?"

She shrugged, "I don't know.. I've never tried to transfer myself to another dimention before... But I'm pretty sure I can, as long as there's shadows around..." She looked around, noting the positions of the darkness that was all around. "I'll go first, and I'll meet back up with you at the Labyrinth." She took a deep breath, closing her eyes as she concentrated. "Let's hope this works.." She mumbled, then disappeared from Sadako's sight.
