Joe and his brothers, along with Miley Cyrus, were touring one day....When their bus crashed. Miley and Kevin died, leaving Joe and Nick the only ones alive and badly hurt. They were saved from the rubble by a mysterious stranger who claimed he was a medical ninja. Disbeliving, they let him do his stuff....To be perfectly healed. Enthralled, they begged him to teach them. And so he did. The managed to summon the soul of Kevin for Joe; he is now his 'Soul Partner'.

Joe's still getting used to the 'ninja' concept, but the medic sent him and his bro to the reality to further their skills, which he taught them a few. He taught Joe Medical Jutus and Sound ones, and even gave them some basic weaponry for their styles.
