They were saved from the rubble by a mysterious stranger who claimed he was a medical ninja. Disbeliving, they let him do his stuff....To be perfectly healed. Enthralled, they begged him to teach them. And so he did.

The medic sent him and his bro to the reality to further their skills, which he taught them a few. He taught Nick some medical jutsu, and some water jutsu, while Joe learned sound. Nick also learned a special summoning technique, but that's for later....
