After the disappearance of many of the key figures in the Twilight hierarchy, Spade began to protect the Twilight on his own destroying many enemies and gain the respect and the love of all of his people until the day the black lantern's influence crossed the realms. The leader of the Black Lantern Corp, The Black Hand had heard of one who meets personally with Death and the great spirits of existence and decided to send the corp to find this individual. When the Black Lanterns reached the Twilight Spade dispatched them easily with the help of the great spirit's until the Anti-Monitor(The Essence of the Black Lantern's energy) deemed Spade's power to b e too much of a threat to the corp and seal him away from the Spirits and even Death; he sealed Spade in pure darkness the place where darkness is created and not even a minuscule ray of light can enter.Spade remained there perfectly preserved for many years during the events of The Blackest Night until the darkest force in existence, The Dragon of the Darkness Flame, spoke to him about it's displeasure with Warriors of the Color spectrum and gave Spade an ultimatum. It would release Spade from his prison if he agreed to bring the power of the Light Spectrum back to him. Spade agreed and completed his task but unbeknown to him it was a breach of his contract with Death. Death striped Spade of all of his spirits and powers and trapped the D.D.F and the power of the emotional light warriors inside of him eternally never to be released again and tossed him back to the twilight thrown into disarray and destruction in his absence. Spade learned to harness the power inside of him and soon regained some of his Spirit powers but his reiatsu was too great to be contained by the planet and it ripped the space time continuum of the half destroyed Twilight ejecting Spade into a different dimension Spade collided with another Twilight in another dimension on the planet Vescrutia. The collision caused Spade to lose all of his memory of all of his past endeavors but occasionally gets flashes of the past.
