Perhaps... If Allen was staying, then there might still be a chance to bring back Grave... But did she really want to effectively 'kill' this Allen who Grave had become? She hated the people who had taken Grave from her, but could she really do basically the same thing? She hadn't a clue who Allen knew, what relationships might be in store for him... Could she take that all away?

It was just then that she began to accept that she might never get the Grave she knew back.. More like she most likely wouldn't.

Steeling herself to her emotions, she simply nodded. "Of course... Perhaps I might see you around, if you stay apart of the Chaos..."

We will see....but you need to let go. I don't know what type of relationship you had with Grave but he's gone now and he will never be coming back...I'm sorry but that's the truth.

+Allen's words where harsh but he felt that Mayumi needed to hear this. Allen would walk pass Kham nodding his head as he passed. Allen would then use Sonido disappearing from the area.+

At Allen's harsh words, she started to tremble, tearing up slightly. There was that ring of finality to his tone, and it finally made everything real. She just wanted to fall to her knees and cry, but she didn't really know Kham-sama all that well, and felt that showing weakness to another village's kage would be idiotic, and Zeik-sama wouldn't want that.

So she stood there, trembling, trying to accept the fact that Grave was gone. Who he had become seemed to be totally different, but was painfully obvious was the fact that this Allen held no feelings for her, whatsoever. Perhaps her and Grave were never meant to be....

No matter the case, however, Mayumi knew she had better get over it quickly. Grave wouldn't want her to be like this... She could still see him smiling, telling her it would be okay. She sobbed quietly once, clutching her sides. Nothing could have ever felt this terrible... She covered her mouth with a hand, the other arm still wrapped tightly around her middle, tears streaming from her eyes. Her back was to Kham-sama, and she shuddered, finally staying still. She didn't know what to say.. She didn't know what to do....

A girl's first heartbreak is always the worst.

-*Kham pulled Mayumi close, not on some pedophile shit but just to comfort her. He wrapped her around the shoulder as he looked at Allen disappear. It sucks that she's forced to move on in this fashion, if only the only memory Allen had was that of Grave and Mayumi instead of the horrors he endured then perhaps things might be a little bit better*-

"It'll be fine..."

-*Kham said, he knew that there was nothing he could do that was humane enough to make her feel better, but maybe if she knew that she was in the presence of a friend...*-

Mayumi froze, her eyes widening. Did he just... Hug her? B-but... It was... KHAM-SAMA. Wasn't he supposed to be this bad-ass dude that didn't care about anybody but friends and family? Wait, if that was true, was he declaring he was willing to be her friend if she needed it? It seemed like it...

Whatever the case, her careful control had slipped, leaving her tears to overflow, spilling from her eyes as she sobbed. At his words, she couldn't think of a coherent response, so she just left herself to cry, her face buried in the cloth of his shoulder.

-*Kham patted her on the shoulder, outside of his cold demeanor his embrace was probably surprisingly warm. It's something that he liked to keep under wraps*-

"No one should have to endure this pain alone..."

"B-but Grave... He..." She couldn't come up with the words for who Grave was to her. He had always been there for her, almost like her own personal sun. Whenever he was there, it was like nothing could go wrong, and she just couldn't help but smile and laugh... Now he was gone, and it felt as if he had taken any shred of that happiness she had had with him... The fact that the Grave she knew had been practically tortured to death, from what she had heard, was something she just couldn't take... No, that couldn't have happened... Not to her Grave.

But it had, and it felt to Mayumi like her entire world was crashing down around her. Her sobs slowly quieted, her trembling dying down. She just let herself be held for a moment longer, the last few tears silently rolling down her cheeks. Mayumi felt horrible... It was worse than ever, but she knew crying wouldn't help anybody. She could do that later, perhaps in her own quarters... She sorely missed Ayaka, whom she had left behind...

-*Kham turned Mayumi around in his direction, though he couldn't help but wonder why she always tended to not look people in the eye, it was probably nothing. He was only hoping that her face was looking at his. He would attempt some funny remark*-

"Alright... this is getting a bit too mushy for even my taste"

-*He said with a slight smirk, he then nudged mayumi in a friendly fashion and started towards the chaos*-

"..."

-*He didnt really have a lot to say, but he wished he could say something to comfort her*-

She didn't have the heart to keep up her act, and so her eyes remained unfocused even as Kham-sama turned her towards him. She smiled half-heartedly at his attempt of a joke. She was grateful of the company. If someone hadn't been there, she didn't know what she would have done...

Lucifer, the kitten, blinked up at Mayumi, his odd eyes quite sad. Shadowfyre rose, shaking the dust from her scales as she got up. Both of Mayumi's companions seemed quite worried.

The Dragon's voice echoed in Mayumi's mind, "There's still something you can try to do, Mayumi."

"Like what...?" The small girl muttered, turning her head toward Shadowfyre,

"Shinjitsu...? Read what happened from Allen's blood?"

"No..." Mayumi sighed, shaking her head, "I was never able to use Shinjistu on Grave--"

"But this isn't Grave anymore..."

Kham-sama would be able to tell as Mayumi winced. Her voice trembled as she spoke next. "A-alright... I... I'll try it..."

She left Kham-sama's side, and went to where Allen had coughed up blood onto the dry earth. It was all but gone, but for a dark stain in the soil. Nevertheless, Mayumi had to but touch a fingertip to the stained earth, and instantly, they would know if that block someone had put on Allen's mind to block Grave's memories held true when Allen himself wasn't in the area. Instantly, that familiar haze took over all her senses, like that of when she attempted to see into Grave's memories. Mayumi frowned, skimming over all that she couldn't read. Quickly, it was as if a wall slammed down, and she was pulled into a dark void... Utter nothingness.... It scared Mayumi terribly, and after a few moments, she started to question whether she actually existed anymore... But there was that certain underlying feeling there... The one she got when she was trying to read someone's memories.

Slowly but surely, feeling started to return to her, and they (Allen and Mayumi, in the memory) groaned, slowly opened their eyes to survey a bleak, gray landscape. A harsh wind whipped sand into their face, unrelenting to say the least. Blinking a few bits of sand from their eyes, they tried to sit up, only to suddenly be bombarded with memories... The Soul Reapers... It was a sudden hate that came along with many memories of torture of various sorts. Mayumi was used to this, but she felt Allen's fear and hate as her own.

Pulling back, she gasped, falling to the ground in the real world now. She knew then that Grave was gone... For good. Their wasn't any room to doubt now, after what she had seen... And Allen had told the truth...

Mayumi's knees gave out from under her, in a state of shock still. Lucifer and Shadowfyre exchanged a look, then the dragon quickly made her way over to wrap both kitten and girl with a protective wing, swirls of shadow and fire surrounding the trio.

As if a gust of wind suddenly extinguished the energy, it was swept aside. Not one of the three was still there...
