What a cute little soul...

Kuja would be in his library, which was very vast, having one of his monster servants looking for a specific book that he needed to read. As he was doing this, Kuja had a little container with him... It was the soul he had taken captive when he abducted Sting, his weapon, from the forest. it would seem as though she had become restless being contained for so long.

"... Shut up, you little worthless soul! You are starting to get very irritating..."

Meo: Then let me out! I serve no purpose to you! And let Sting go, too! He's not useful to you, either!!

Kuja glared at the soul with very evil eyes, and a very seldom seen frown on his face. He must have taken her words very seriously.

"... Excuse me, you runt, but what I say goes. I have divine rule over what happens... And to defy me is only your death wish. Do you wish to be consumed by my weapon? You and he are useful to me... very useful to me. I will be needing a weapon to combat the forces of Shibusen if they decide to go against me, and I will be needing YOU to do some experiments on..."

Meo was shocked... She didn't want to have any experiments done on her... She started to rock and shake inside of the container, trying to bust out, but it was no use. It was very strong... Though she didn't give up. She continued to rock and shake the container.

"... Stop that! Can't you learn to sit still? I will just eliminate you if you're going to cause so much trouble..."

Kuja opened the container harboring Meo, but the moment he did, his servant interrupted him.

Servant: Is this the book you're looking for, master?

Kuja immediately looked up, taking his eyes off of Meo. "Not now, you cur! Can you not see that I am busy with other affairs? Learn to respect your master!" He would conjure up a Thundaja in his hand, shooting out godly and insanely large bolts of lightning at the servant, which should totally obliterate him in the process.

While Kuja was distracted, Meo exited the container and flew out of the Desert Palace extremely quickly, making sure not to be seen or heard by Kuja. She had a faint trace of her father's soul again... and that gave her hope.

"Infidel..."

As Kuja turned back around to the container, Meo's soul was gone. She had escaped. This infuriated Kuja... Very much so.

"ARRG!! That rebellious--!!" he couldn't even finish his sentence. But, he started to calm down... It wasn't proper to get so very angry like that. In fact, he remembered that he had a contract... Meo belonged to him, unless an outside force did something about it. So, no matter where she went or how far she went, she would still be under Kuja's control and would be forced back to him with time.

"... Hm..Hmhmhmhmhm... I don't know why I was getting so worked up... I might as well just go and wait..."

A book fell from the air, seeming to be the one that the now obliterated servant picked out.

"... Oh, this is just what I need! Hmhmhmhm... May your soul rest in peace, dear servant..."

Kuja didn't even bother to take the soul provided by the servant... it wasn't worth it. He just exited the library and went about his merry way.
