Finally Going For It (Hebi's Ranking Exam)

At this point in time, Tear could see that even his wavelength wasn't going to get through that form without direct contact to his body. If Tear had direct contact to the body, then he could shoot his wavelength through the body instead of just at the body, making it bypass the outside and his the body on the inside, damaging it internally as well as rupturing the soul. It was time to do that, and here was the perfect chance.

Tear could feel the earth shaking as Hebi moved closer to him. Once Hebi was close enough for impact, he would change both of his fists into their mallet forms. To follow that up, Tear would immediately smash both mallets onto him with insane force and strength, stopping him from moving altogether.

"... Successive Soul Menace..."

... Now Tear shot his wavelength through Hebi successively, many hundreds of times within a few seconds. When doing this, it would cause a massive explosion, once again, of epic proportions and intensity, since Soul Menaces are explosive by nature. All of that force would hopefully force Hebi away as well as do some massive damage to him.

{While Tear's attack would be very damaging to to Hebi if connected Hebi himself was already prepared for this and would act hit real attack. As Tear would stop quetzalcoatl in sphere form the quetzalcoatl would instantly shrink a little for some reason. Suddenly from under Tear as he would begin his attack the ground under him would turn into mud causing him to most likely being to sink very quickly because he was standing his ground attacking the quetzalcoatl which does have a large amount of weight to it. Suddenly Hebi would burst from the earth a few feet behind Tear along with Kobura who both de-fused with the quetzalcoatl before Tear began his attack meaning Tear at the moment was sending his surge of soul energy though a combination of giant snakes under the illusion of the quetzalcoatl. Although Hebi knew Tear would figure this out instantly after Hebi and Kobura split from the quetzalcoatl Hebi would be acting just as fast with his attack. Leaving not a second wasted Hebi would sign causing the earth around him to shoot up from the ground and then combine into a large King Cobra made out of very densely compressed stone would which rocket toward Tear trying to tackle him with a large amount of force while also trying to swallow him whole.}

Of course, success would not come that easily for Hebi. As stated, Tear figured out what was going on very quickly, but when the ground turned to mud, Tear started to sink. Naturally, his first thought was to use his Soul Transmission again, but it seemed as though Hebi had caught on to this as well, which is why Hebi had launched his next attack. However, Hebi's attack would be what would save Tear from sinking in the end.

When the giant stone snake came toward Tear with its gaping mouth, Tear immediately lodged both mallet hands into its mouth and slam them onto the roof of the mouth and bottom of the mouth simultaneously, the spikes on Tear's mallets protruding far as to stab into the snake's mouth to get a good grip. With that, Tear would force himself up using his own immense strength as well as the weight of the snake, lifting him out of the mud with great ease. Using the momentum it took for him to pull himself out, he would pull out his mallets from the mouth of the snake while in midair, then curve himself onto the head of the snake, being completely safe.

That's when Tear surged his wavelength through his feet in a massive way, which would cause an explosion, hopefully destroying the snake and sending Tear into Hebi at outrageous speeds. Once Tear neared Hebi, he would start to spin violently, aiming to smack the life out of Hebi with his mallets in a constant, tornado-esque fashion.

{As Hebi's rock snake was destroyed by Tear's attack and Tear would be sent launching toward Hebi in a spinning fashion Hebi would crack a light smile seeing Tear moving in such a fashion was just what Hebi was hopping for. Hebi would sign and from his sleeves would erupt two long snakes that would rocket toward Tear and would come head on with his twister like motion. Although these snakes would not be destroyed as unknown to Tear a first these snake where made out of rubber which would cause the snaked to expand around Tear trying to wrap around Tear as he spinned trying to bind him with his own momentum while Hebi would send a large wave of poison covered fire toward Tear trying to get a nice clean hit on him. Tear would also find the rubber snakes would be hard to beak at they would simply stretch to fit his attacks toward them and their rubber bodies would reduce the amount of force they would take from Tear's soul energy based attack making these snake hard to stop.}

Tear could tell that the snake was rubber simply by looking at it, but there was no way to escape it now. Tear was already moving too fast to stop himself or change directions, and as such, he would be wrapped up by the rubber snake. Tear could easily escape via Soul Transmission, but because he needed a bit of time to use that and Hebi had launched another attack, it wasn't really going to work out that well.

Though, if Hebi had not noticed, Tear had only been using his wavelength this entire battle and not his Soul Energy. Now was the time to use that. Tear closed his eyes, tapping into his Crying Soul unleashing a torrent of it directly where the fire was being shot, causing it to flow around the Soul Energy of Tear and/or be put out by it, leaving Tear completely unharmed.

After that, since Tear knew that rubber expanded, Tear would unleash a powerful surge of his own Soul Energy, stretching the rubber snake around him and allowing him to escape.

"... You almost had me, Hebi... Keep that mindset and you may succeed..."

Tear landed, placing his hands in his pockets.

{Hebi would not answer as as soon as Tear landed on the ground Hebi's hand would already be on the ground causing a wave of rubber snakes would erupt from under Tear at a very fast pace. Although at the same time a normal snake would appear and would then release a large wave of fire causing the rubber snake to melt around Tear creating a dome of living rubber which would not be broken though with out a large amount of force and energy since hitting the dome would just cause it to completely expand just making the dome larger. Also if Tear tried to move underground he would be met with a wave of multiple snakes and earth bombs. From the melted together dome of rubber snake if form around Tear would release the mouths of the snake trying to bite and hold tear down.}

Since these snakes were still living, Tear would just have to destroy their souls with his wavelength, making them lose all of their functionality as both snake and barrier. Tear reverted his arm into a mallet once more, then slammed it into the rubber wall very hard, instantly shooting a powerful Soul Menace through the rubber as to cause the snakes' souls to explode right then and there on contact. If this did not break the barrier, then Tear had something else up his sleeve.

{As Tear destroyed the rubber snakes and begin to break though the snake that was around the outside of the dome would release a large powerful burst of fire which would cause the dead rubber snake bodies to melt around Tear and most likely burning his hand because he was punching though the dome as it started to melt and would burn on to his whole body if he did not find a way out quickly. Hebi would also touch the ground causing two large walls of earth to rise around Tear and the melting dome and would quickly try to slam together on top of him trying to crush him from both sides. like a sandwich.}

Of course, since Tear's hand was a mallet when he smashed the wall, only the mallet would be stuck by the melting rubber. However, because Tear's form would change if he were to change his hand back, if Tear changed it back before the rubber reached his arm, he would be free and the rubber wouldn't affect him. Of course, Tear implemented this quite quickly, changing his hand back once he was sure that the rubber was melting, then backed away from the melting snakes.

When Tear saw the two walls try to sandwich him, he chuckled lightly, jumping up and extending both his legs out to either one of the walls, stopping them in their tracks. Just then, on the soles of his feet would be the sander portion of the belt sander, which would slide him upward very quickly up to the top of the melting rubber dome.

Because the rubber was losing its shape, constitution and elasticity, it was very easy to escape now. In fact, another Soul Menace upon his reaching the top would part the ways of the melting rubber and allow Tear to be launched out of there before any major damage was done. Tear would then land a little ways away, wondering what Hebi would do next...

{As Tear escaped from the dome and rock walls Hebi would appear right where Tear landing moving at blinding speeds. Hebi would thrust one of his claw covered hands forward which would be at the speed of 100 thrusts per second. Although as the claw thrusts moved forward the second Hebi's foot would touch the ground two thing would happen instantly which would be first a earth dome would instantly form around Tear and Hebi and secondly the ground under Tear and Hebi would explode releasing a powerful burst of energy which would be one of Hebi's earth bombs which he created as he moved toward Tear and triggered as his stepped on the ground. Also due to the dome the explosion would be pushed back on them constantly trying to greatly damage Tear even if Hebi had to also be caught in the cross fire.}

Tear had easily dodged the initial attack, for his body could move much faster than Hebi must have perceived, and he dodged each and every one of the claw strikes with no problem at all. Though, in Tear's distraction, the dome around him and Hebi formed, closing off the space for fighting. Now, naturally, Tear was just going to break this barrier, but was also caught off guard by the explosion afterward, which would send him flying into one of the walls before he knew what was even going on.

Despite this large explosion, Tear STILL didn't seem to be hurt much...

"... It takes a lot to harm my body, Hebi... That is why the goal of this match wasn't to defeat me.."

Tear would fall to his feet, brushing off his singed jacket. He was going to need a new one after this... Or just tailor this one... Whatever. Since the dome had not been broken, it was time for Tear to take advantage of it. The dome quickly filled with Tear's Soul Energy, filling up every air pocket and to the very brim of the dome. What was great was, even if Hebi released the dome, Tear could still condense his Soul Energy in a way that would make it so that Hebi could not escape..

{Hebi was already expecting Tear to be okay with the explosion and also expected that Tear would fill the dome with his soul energy. Hebi would touch the ground causing another explosion the instant Tear finished his sentence although this was not an energy of fire explosion this was and explosion of mud that due to the force of which it was moving would be able to push though Tear's soul energy just enough to engulf Tear and Hebi up to their neck. Hebi would then clench his fist causing the mud to then harden around Hebi and Tear trying to trap tear in a hardened river of mud and immobilize Tear which is what Hebi had being trying to do during the whole battle but Tear kept breaking free.}

Mud... But the basis of mud was water, or else it was just normal earth again. And if Tear's Soul Energy could take control of water because it was liquid, the mud would become under Tear's control... And with Tear's Soul Energy already running about, that was very easy to do. The Soul Energy would indeed merge with the liquid portion of the mud, then drain back into the ground as if nothing happened, Tear's own Soul Energy returning to him.

"... Remember who you are dealing with, Hebi.."

Tear would slam his fist into the dome as he originally intended to do, the strength behind it causing it to collapse and Tear to escape once more. This time when Tear escaped, he jumped high into the air, leaving a crater where he once stood, reaching the clouds once more. Seems like he had just thought of something.

{As Tear moved up toward the sky from above Kobura would appear moving downward and would release a wave of not rubber but elastic snake which would move downward toward Tear as he moved up. The snakes would be trying to wrap around Tear and tie him up so he could not move although unlike the rubber snakes these where form fitting simply expanding with any of Tear's movements even if their souls where destroyed. These snakes would also begin to pulse with energy which would try to work as a counter energy pulse try to null Tear's use of energy.}

Unexpected, but well within Tear's capabilities of escape. He needed to think fast, and because he was moving at such a speed in the air, it wasn't like he could change directions since he couldn't fly... So, Tear would curl himself up into a ball and surround himself in the sander part of his belt sander, having that start to rev intensely. Not only that, but spikes from the spiked portion of his mallet would protrude from his body as well, as means to pierce the elastic if it were to hit, since elastic and rubber could still be pierces very very easily, even if they couldn't be stretched or pulled very easily.

Now, because of this, one of two things would happen.. The insane amount of force from the spinning of the belt sander would blow away anything that even tried to touch Tear, as well as grind them to bits if they did manage to get him (and if the spikes did not pierce through them), and Tear would be launched through Kobura and probably rend all of his organs OR, Tear would be captured by the elastic somehow and would fall back down to the ground.

{While Kobura would disappear into thin air moving out of the way of possible danger the elastic snakes would continue to move toward Tear even though they saw the spiked belt sanders. The snake would try to angle themselves to the while they would be stabbed by the spikes they would simply spin with belt sanders and with their large numbers cause the belts to become jammed with elastic and capture Tear. Hebi would meanwhile still be standing on the ground watching and waiting for the right moment to do anything needed to capture Tear.}

(Technically, I didn't really need to, but I just wanted to give you a decent chance at this specific moment, but I guess it didn't work. XD)

As Tear predicted, he easily plowed through all of the elastic snakes with no problem, propelling himself into the air according to plan. Tear closed his eyes and concentrated, passing through a cloud. Once above it, Tear would proceed to stand on top of it as if it were a solid substance, which required a great deal of experience to even think about doing. Once he was up there, the clouds started to grow dark... though not normally... They were glowing a grayish color, which tinted the very atmosphere in the same gray... it was Tear's wavelength at work.

{Hebi would watch as Tear moved high into the air and would begin to miss wavelength into the clouds. Hebi would dig into his jacket and would pull out a large bow which he would point toward the sky as he would pull the string back and a wave of fire would gather in his hand. Hebi would then release the string sending a wave of fire arrows into the clouds he saw Tear go into. Once the arrows moved close enough to the cloud they would explode releasing a large amount of fire which would flow into the cloud trying to evaporate to water in the clouds causing them to disappear leaving Teat to fall back toward the ground.}

At this attempt, the arrows would be swiftly struck down by powerful bolts of Tear's Soul Wavelength. There would be a loud rumbling that would shake the very earth for just a moment as the lightning started to crackle and burst within the clouds.

"... Not to get off subject, Hebi, but... I have thought of a new technique for myself... A Self Resonance technique that is most useful for purging the land.."

Tear's voice was booming and echoed ominously, as if he were in every one of the clouds. He was actually communicating through his soul, and Hebi would be able to hear it. There was another rumbling in the sky as Tear prepared for this attack...

"... Prepare yourself, Hebi..."

{Hebi's body would begin to surge with energy as he would stand on guard ready for what even Tear was about to trow at Hebi.}

"... Quake... As you feel the power of... The Soul Storm..."

All of the clouds would rumble simultaneously, once again shaking the ground more than it had before. With an accumulation of a grant amount of Soul Energy and Wavelength, a deluging waterfall of Tear's pure Soul Energy fell from every inch of the clouds, massive amounts of his Soul Wavelength shooting directly toward the ground, almost completely consuming it in the same way as the Soul Energy. Not only this, but the Soul Energy and lightning made of wavelength would start to swirl, making a typhoon of horrendously destructive proportions. Tear planned for there to be nothing left when this was finished.... Nothing left for miles and miles...

{Hebi would look in shock as the giant wave of destructive soul energy would rain down from the sky toward the ground. Hebi would create a hand sign and the soul energy would hit the ground creating a large explosion of horrendously destructive proportions. As the smoke cleared from where Hebi was there would be seen a destroyed dome of metal which was made from Hebi using his earth control to create a dome before releasing a wave of fire to super heat the dome and the pressure from the soul energy crashing down to harden the dome into steel. Although even that could not stop the power of the soul energy and the dome would be destroyed and Hebi would be badly damaged from the blast. Hebi would be laying on the ground covered in wounds from the attack.}

Tear observed the damage which he had done to the area for miles and miles, feeling actually very contented with it.

"... In such destruction, there is beauty... Oh, what a wonderful sorrow this land has endured, and so the people of this land have received the same fate... Hebi..."

Tear would float down from the sky on a cloud, jumping off of it and letting it dissipate.

"... Perhaps you should train in more than power, Hebi... And more than Soul Energy. Granted, this is what our village is based off of, however... You are still a ninja."
