Dropping off Cross' body

"It's what I assume Hell to be like, you know... Satan and stupid shit like that."

*Cross repositioned his head, he was getting a bit comfortable now, the muscle tensing toxins of poi just faded and relaxed his muscles he was tired as hell, Cross hardly ever sleeps.*

-Hollow shook her head-

Firstly, that's not even close to what hell is like. Secondly, I live with my dad in his estate in Hollow Bastion. No fire, no brimstone

-Hollow was too preoccupied with the conversation to notice the loosening of Cross' movements and didn't seem to worry about him laying on her lap anymore-

*Cross continued to speak, it was hard to tell if he was being sarcastic or not*
"your gonna have to excuse my prejudgments, but all demons are raving rabid creatures that feed on the souls of humans?"

-Hollow looked down at Cross with a sadistic expression-

-She stated bluntly and leaned closer to his face-

Wanna know what yours taste like?

*Cross got a bit nervous...but he squared up and challenged hollow with his gaze.*

"Tell me..."

-Hollow pulled up resting her hands on the floor behind her, arching her back and looking up at the ceiling-

I couldn't really tell you what you taste like...per say. I could tell you what your life force feels like, if I drained it...

"With the Draining Kiss..."

*Cross said a tad glumly... he had a feeling this would hurt*

-Hollow spoke without looking his way.There was an unintentional heir of seduction about her now -

*Cross shut his eyes*
"Give it a go... I always wondered what I was like on the inside."

-Draining Kiss can be devastating on a persons body, having the feeling of every bit of vitality being sucked from your very soul. The rapid decay that occurs as your body is sucked dry of everything that sustains it leaving you nothing but dust if anything. However, there was a less painful way to do it. She had done it before, using it on some guy she was dating at the time who apparently liked the feel of it. A light touch that wasn't very effective for what her chakra was meant for but it only gave a tinge of pain. She had done the same to her mother as an infant...not that she remembered really. Hollow sat up the way she had before and took one of Cross' hands into her own and lifted to her lips touching his skin only slightly. She could feel the sensation of his energy starting to course through her body. After a few seconds she took her lips away, having gained her answer-

It's cold...like anesthetic. Numbing...

-she spoke almost serenely-

*Cross gasped upon contact it was like an adrenaline rush combined with the feeling of his heart skipping a beat, mixed the indescribable... Cross kinda liked it, it was bitter sweet.*

"Wow... you sound like you almost like the taste. Does it differ depending on the point of contact?"

-Hollow looked at Cross with a plain expression-

The feeling differs depending on a persons life. The type of person you are determines the kind of energy you emit. That's how my dad explained it me...

-Hollow looked away again. She hadn't taken pleasure in the feeling. She knew what it meant. She saw a flash of green eyes in her memory. Her mother had felt the same way...though the cold was much stronger then. The pain was greater, not hidden, buried. Her mother was drowning in it. Hollow only remembered the feeling, and her eyes. Unexpectedly, she felt a tinge of sadness. She quickly pushed it away, as far back in her mind as she could. The feeling made her sick and angry-

*Cross, being the trained assassin he is could detect the slight change in Hollow's homeostasis. She was forcing back tears and repressing sadness. But Cross didnt want to prod, but he was racking his brain as to why he gave a damn... he was starting to care for a human life.*

"Hollow... care to tell me about your past? If not I understand. I can guarantee mine is worse than yours."

-Hollow turned her head to face Cross. Her body was tense again, straining against unwanted thoughts. Her face resumed its indifference-

There's nothing to tell.

-she spoke bluntly, then her head tilted as she realized something-

Your body...it should be healed by now shouldn't it?

"Yes... I just thought you wanted to stay."

*Cross sprang up, and extended his hand to hollows to help her up*

"Guess this convo took a wrong turn at the touch of a kiss..."

-Hollow did something she never would have done before. She took Cross' hand, letting him help her up even though she didn't need it. She dusted off her pants as she stood-

It was...nice...talking to you...i mean...

"Nice talking to you too Hollow...."

*Cross let his hand linger in Hollow's for a bit, he felt like turning his back and walking off towards his computer. But he wanted to see how she would react*

-Hollow looked Cross eye to eye, her gaze softer than before, almost eerily so. She grasped his hand in hers and leaned in kissing him gently on the cheek-

We should gunsling again sometime. And maybe...this too I guess...the talking...if you want

-Hollow made an attempt to smile, a motion that looked more like a twitch than anything. She then let go of Cross' hand and turned her back on him as she started toward the door-

*Cross said nothing, he simply walked in the opposite direction. He had work to do...*
