The Experiments... Come to test them.

A Cleff would appear inside of the first base he had taken over... This was one of the underused bases. This was supposed to be the one that was used for mass made machines that could be traded to people for things that Cleff wanted... Cleff should start taking requests... But naturally, was a little too unstable to start having a surplus of people coming in to ask for things.

"... Experiments... I need to make them... Experimental weapons..."

Without looking, Cleff started to create things, his wings becoming technological hands as Cleff thought about things... He was thinking about how to successfully utilize all 4 of his bases... The one in the Chaos was used for The Assault and for The Assault only... This one would be used for mass produced experiments... What about the ones in the Dusk and Twilight? Perhaps he could take some advice...

-Cross was just strolling through when he noticed that after he 'helped' cleff with his little problem he kept up his based across the globe. Seeing this as a potential threat to the commonwealth he walked inside one willingly to see what the fuck was up.-

"You here cleff?"

Cleff turned around, still masked by the shadow of his hat, except for his piercing, green eye.

"... Yes...? Who is it...? Cross...? Ah... Cross..."

Even though Cleff was feeling a lot better since his battle with Marta, he was still rather traumatized about his actions... Maybe this was why he was inventing mass production experiments? Hm...

"... You came at the perfect time.. Will you test my experiments? Mass production... Can you assist?"

"Cleff... I see you still look just as ridiculous as you did when you transformed the last time we had our little rehab session!"

-Cross said unenthusiastically, he shrugged and realzed that Cleff was slightly traumatized judging by his life signals that his new body was giving off to him, either way he figured he'd destroy the lab and these experiments as well-

"But I'll help... though I cant say that you're going to get a good test run out of these shits"

Cleff narrowed his eye, turning away from Cross.

"... Mass production initialized... Experiment 0100; Blind Harvester... Standby."

A shaft on the ceiling would open, and immediately falling from it would be a 20-30 foot tall mechanical beast, sporting 4 sickles protruding from its back and sides, massive machine guns for arms, 3 large, claws tails coarsing with some sort of fluid being generated and contained in 2 large tubes on its back. Naturally, it was eyeless.



"Blind Harvester, commence with experimentation..."

The Blind Harvester hissed slightly, taking a few steps forward. Its clawed tails opened up, releasing a slight light that was produced by the fluid that surged through them. They wiggled around violently all around it.

Cleff had to see what was flawed with his experiments if he were to ever use them for his own purposes... If these flaws were to happen while they were engaged in combat, the machines would be useless. Also, since Cleff aimed to mass produce and sell these experiments, he needed to make sure they were completely bug-free for those he would be selling them to.

-Cross stood still, since this was the 'blind harvester' it had to have SOME way of detecting where Cross was since it was indeed blind, while standing still Cross analyzed the beast with his X-hair eye computing all the obvious things that it could do, its abilities with its various guns, how fast it can go ect... but Cross just stood there projecting no energy giving off no life signs. Since he was in essence a 'bio weapon android' he can shut off these things at will-

After a few moments of whipping its 3 tails around, the middle one would close and the other two would suddenly lock onto Cross' position. The Blind Harvester opened fire immediately, firing off rounds of bullets with extreme precision for some reason, despite its arms being machine guns, which were not made for accuracy.

"... Seems as though its targeting systems are successful... And its weapon efficiency is as it should be..."

Cleff was analyzing the Blind Harvester as it made every move veeery carefully, only to ensure that all of its mechanisms were going smoothly. He also noticed that he was starting to speak using more computerized terms... Hmm...

-Assuming the bullets were ordinary, cross blocked them with a shield of Lighting Flame as he fired his pistols from their holsters just as they fired the bullets that would come out would appear on the blind harvester as if they warped to its body. When in reality they did.-

Cleff knew of Cross' warping bullets, which is what he was expecting Cross to do. It would see if one of the special abilities of the Blind Harvester was in optimal condition. Cleff also took note of how normal bullets did not effect him... Through result of those Dying Will Flames that everyone has... Further research would have to be put into that. An upgrade in weaponry was necessary.

"Initiate photo-dissociation."

Naturally, Cleff didn't NEED to say it, but he did it anyway. The Blind Harvester seemed to know just when and where the bullets would appear, at what speed and the velocity in which they were traveling, and their impact coordinates. As such, once Cross fired, the tubes on the Blind Harvester flashed, consuming it in light for a moment, and it was gone. However, the very moment it was gone, it was immediately in another area, still facing Cross. The liquid in its tubes were gone, but were quickly filling back up. It tried to fire at him again, this time running up the wall and onto the ceiling at blinding speeds. It deduced that firing from another angle would be more effective. It seemed to have surprising speed despite its mass.

"Photo-dissociation working with minimal flaw... Excellent."

-Cross stood still, looking up and tracking the Blind Harvesters movements with minimal effort it was no surprise that it could tell where the bullets were coming up but it was worth a shot, all Cross figured that he had to do now was just shoot in between the time the blind harvester reloaded that fluid. It was a simple logical progression of ideas. With these regular ass bullets The blind harvester was going to get no where, it was going to take a lot more pressure to pierce something as hard as the densest substance in the universe. Since thats what the lightning flame could do-

"Simple..."

-Cross fired again, the first round of bullets were a hundred or so that warped to the blind harvesters body keeping up with his fast agile paced movement, naturally being the machine that it was it was going to use what worked last time which would be to warp projectiles away, after the harvester did that cross would fire bullets again much faster than before capable of hitting the harvester in that small interval all over its body from every conceivable angle.-

The Blind Harvester, once again, could tell all of the specifics of the bullets, but also deciphered the Lightning Flame as well, once it was used in succession. It now knew of the properties of the Lightning Flame, and as such, needed to try to adjust itself to said properties... But first things first, the bullets. However, the use of Photo-dissociation would probably not be effective if it were to carry out the plan it had calculated. Therefore, as the bullets came near, its thickest tail opened up, releasing that orange light that dimly lit its entire body. The moment it opened, a translucent, orange sphere encased it. Some sort of generated light fashioned into a hyper-repulsive barrier to away the oncoming projectiles with hopefully no problem.

"... Hyper-repulsive barrier is working fine. Now, let me see how good its reasoning capabilities are..."

The Blind Harvester leapt from the ceiling beside Cross, making massive impact with the ground, lowering the barrier. The 4 large scythes attached to its body began to glow with that same orange hue, as did a knife that was seemingly loaded into its left gun. With the data it had collected before, it aimed to pierce through the Lightning Flame with its sickles. The density had been increased by a great deal. If they could not pierce the first time, they would continue to aim at one spot and hack at it in rapid succession until successful. The liquid only in the backs of the sickles would be draining, not the two largest ones on its back.

-'As the bullets came near'... the bullets are warped micrometers away from the Harvesters body, so close that it seems that they are directly applied. But should the harvester have enough time to manifest this shield Cross can simply warp the bullets inside the shield and pierce the harvester accordingly and that's what he did, he initiated the after shock causing them to explode violently within the shield to ravage the damn thing to kingdom come. If this didn't work then Cross' lightning flame shield would easily combat the initial impact of the physical attack giving cross enough time to move in at speeds presumably faster than that of the harvester since Cross absorbed the energy from the impact and used it to make himself faster and kick the harvester in the chest by warping his foot to the machines stomach-

Of course, explosions, even of such magnitude wouldn't do as much damage as predicted to the Blind Harvester, as it was still a heavily armored machine.

"27% Damage received... Armor defenses at 83% productivity. Systems green..."

The Blind Harvester then initiated in the rest of its assault, only to note that energy was being taken from itself into the Lightning Flame. It immediately stopped trying to pierce it, but was too late, as Cross had already delivered a kick to it. Because of how Cross kicked it and his increase in power, it did more damage than the explosions did.

"... 33% Damage received... Armor defenses at 50%... Systems orange... Caution."

Cleff narrowed his eye. Its defenses were already halved so quickly... But it had the most optimal amount of armor on it to ensure it stayed at the greatest speed... There was nothing to do about that.

"... Intelligence... minimal. Repairs shall be done... Otherwise... Commence in Photo-dissociation Beams..."

The Blind Harvester complied, and there was another flash of that orange light. This time, however, the beast was still in the same place... But the lab was filled to the brim in large, orange beams, about the same size as the holes of the tails. These beams left little to no space for movement of even the tiniest creatures within this base, making damn near everything gridlocked in the Photo-dissociation Beams. Just as the Harvester had done before, causing its own atoms to break apart and then recombine, it aimed to do that to Cross... only without the recombination part.

"... It seems as though its scanning function is also just as useful as a defensive function... This is how the Blind Harvester sees. Anything that crosses the path of these beams is instantly analyzed. When it lashes its tails, it shoots out these invisible beams and causes them to stay in the trail they have been shot, so it can 'see' whatever moves within a specific area... And now, as a defensive measure... It aims to break apart all of your atoms..."

-Cross froze in his position, he had some strange sense of deja vu but he couldnt remember where it was from at the moment. No matter, he figured that if these beams of light aimed to do the same that it does to the harvester, he can absorb them since he can absorb all forms of neutral energy and then some.-

"I know I know... But if this is 'just' light then I can absorb it right? Since there are some special stuff protecting my molecular structure from breaking down too far."

-So, he tested it by absorbing one of the small beams to test to see what would happen of course his body would break down, only so far for his biometal within him powerd up to cosmic heights regenerated faster than the light allowed it to break down hopefully this would work if not, then Cross would proceed to banish himself from this dimension preventing him from attacking anything on this place but was granted temporary invincibility for a certain amount of time. This gave him breathing room. If it did work, Cross would absorb enough for the beams so he can move around, the energy would give him a physical boost in power, stamina and durability trippiling his base stats.-

Though the beams were predominantly composed of light particles, they were also comprised of the special fluid that was drained from its tubes, which was refilling as we speak. Though, once Cross disappeared, the beams would revert back to their original, constant scanning form, hidden within the light.

"... It is not just light. I would advise not to absorb that."

Regardless of what just happened, the Blind Harvester still had 50% of its defenses, still. Since it would seem that Cross was gone now, the Blind Harvester became dormant. Though, with its dormancy, the liquids refilled faster, thus being completely refilled in a moment's notice. It had no automatic repair it could do to itself, so it was basically as is... Maybe Cleff could fix that.

-Cross looked at his arm in which the light fluid would have been absorbed he broke down its various compounds and absorbed it into raw energy the fluid that was pumped through the harvester wasn't harmful to his body but he didn't wanna take the risk of absorbing all of it at once, he had another plan.. use the vacuum gun which can absorb practically anything and store it in infinite space. SO, Cross revealed a portion of him, mainly his arms that could fit without being harmed by the fluid, each arm transformed into the vacuum gun and began sucking in all the light projectiles storing them in an infinite space forever. Cross knew that he had a narrow window before the machine would do the same thing over again so Cross appeared in front of the harvester using his increased speed and power to land another blow to the machine with bullets in between his fingers-

With the previous strike to the Blind Harvester, it received heavy damage once again.

"... Damage intake.... 41%... Armor defense remaining... 9%. Critical condition. Systems red."

It seemed to have taken a bit of internal damage as well, making it go on the fritz. It started to shake violently for a few moments before ultimately falling to the ground."

"... Perhaps... Armor enhancement is sufficient...? Something lightweight, but sturdy.. Intelligence must be increased... Bullets must be upgraded... Hm..."

Cleff turned to Cross, wondering what his thoughts were on this creature.

"Cross. Your analysis? If Cleff were to mass produce this Blind Harvester, would you utilize its capabilities?"

-Cross scratched his head, the answer was obviously no since he preferred fighting alone anyway and wasn't really the type to make sentient minions but fighting the Blind Harvester gave him some ideas to give himself some upgrades.-

"Well... not really, using minions isn't my sorta thing ya know? But what you should do is fuse the bullets with whatever that liquid is so that it can penetrate most shields by disassociating atoms at a very fast rate, and you can make it so that the Blind Harvester can warp using the same targeting system it uses to locate opponents. Just some ideas... I'll be happy to help. Whats next?"

-Cross took out his pistols and swung them around on his fingers before placing them in their holsters.-

Cleff nodded, taking in Cross' well needed suggestions.

"Yes... Yes... Thank you.. I appreciate it. The next one is not hostile at all, but actually a restorative machine... Experiment 0264, Cicada Sofa."



The Cicada Sofa walked into the area at a moderate speed, being slightly larger than the average man length-wise.

"... I will need you to get on it."

-This was a major letdown to Cross who wanted to destroy more shit, he sighed and walked over to the sofa which had a stupid name. Who wants a bug sofa? He sighed as he sat in it waiting for something to happen-

The Cicada Sofa started to generate energy from its legs into Cross. This was pure chakra and energy that circulated throughout the planet, enhancing the Chakra/Energy Cycle progress, causing the effects to exponentially rise.

"... For those who cannot naturally absorb or regenerate their energies at a fast rate... The Cicada Sofa will do this for them. By increasing the Cycle; i.e. Energy being expended by one, then the loosed energy being taken in by the surrounding atmosphere and environment, then slowly brought back into the consumer; the Cicada Sofa decreases the time it takes for this to happen exponentially, taking only a few minutes to a few hours to restore completely, depending on the capacity of the one using it."

Cleff stared at Cross blankly, as this was the only true function of the Cicada Sofa. It was a regenerative machine...

"... Is this acceptable as a mass manufactured machine? There is only one flaw with it... That when either are in motion, the cycle reverts to normal, therefore, one must be perfectly still when it is in use. Though, I do not think it is that... big a deal. Would you buy this one? Are there any suggestions that you have? If not, I will commence with the next experiment."

"I have to agree with you, it's kinda nifty but the way the machine works is completely flawed to put it bluntly. The way you are restoring MY energy is by using what sages like to call 'natural energy', basically its the planets 'chakra'. I can absorb this... kinda, its iffy but not everyone else can as a matter of fact if you expose the wrong person to this they will most likely get overloaded and die. Natural energy is strong shit and takes a lot of training to use properly. The training was so difficult that not even the likes of the Twilight Kage could even complete it. Chakra is like 'stamina' pumped through the bloodstream throughout the body, if you can rework the machine to somehow speed up the time it takes the body to return to homeostasis without using Natural Energy as a source! Then it'll be great. Just some thoughts."

-Cross got up from the chair, the longer he stood in it the more his joints tightened up... Natural energy was not something to fuck around with. He figured that out the hard way.-

Cleff nodded a bit robotic, taking in the suggestions.

"... I.. See... Natural Energy..? Saved for later... Chakra... Stamina. Commencing with next Experiments... Experiment 0051, the Ebony Slider.."

Cleff made a motion with his head, causing some red lights to appear out of his shadow. Suddenly, e shadow began to take the shape of something else, which splurged from the ground, becoming a machine with an array of weapons. It was between 10-15 feet tall, sporting two large, bludgeoning arms with several linear, glowing holes in them. On either side of it would be a special sort of firearm attached. Finally, it did not completely exit from the ground... probably because it had no lower part of itself. Its eyes gleamed, focusing on Cross.



"... This one is a bit unstable... However, the instability is what makes it a great weapon..."

-Cross shook himself out getting in the fighting mood and pointed his gun at the robot and fired one lone bullet, that one bullet had its impact power and speed SUPER increased so much so that it caused Cross to blow back across the room and slide to a stop.-

The Cicada Sofa walked away from the area as Cross got off, and the Ebony Slider Scanned the bullet as it came close. The bullet, though powerful, passed right through the Ebony Slider with literally no damage received to the Ebony Slider. It dissipated, appearing out of the blackness out of the corner of the wall. It aimed its guns at Cross, firing off rounds of bright energy, which caused the area to darken significantly. The bright energy seemed to move just as fast as the bullet fired by Cross, however.

"... Scanning sequence at full potency... Replication systems, maximized..."

Cleff was wondering how this battle would go, however, due to the unstable and unorthodox methods that the Ebony Slider seemed to use... It couldn't particularly be calculated what it would use or what effects it would have on the area. Cleff had doubts about mass production of this machine, however, if it functions within calculated capabilities, it would work well with others. Besides, it takes orders rather well.
