| As stated numerous times, everyone knows that there are a lot of Digivolutions that a Digimon can undergo, and I am here to list them all so they you have perfect understanding of them all and what is required to get them, if special requirements are needed. I will start from the bottom and work my way up. However, I must inform you, All Digimon must go through the Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, Mega levels no matter what. That's the normal line. Anything else like Dark Digivolution or DNA Digivolution is not required, but can be obtained.
Digitama/Digiegg All Digimon start out born from a Digitama/Digiegg (call it whatever you want, I call it Digitama). They come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and colors. They typically hatch into Baby Digimon, but will sometimes hatch directly into a higher form, such as an In-Training, Rookie, Champion, or even Ultimate or Mega. It is possible for a single Digitama to produce twins or triplets, even. They can be produced in one of three ways:
* Random data 'roaming' the Digital World may converge and be created into a DigiTama. * After the death of a Digimon, its data will reincarnate into a Digitama, usually in the deceased Digimon's lowest form. * After the death of a DNA Digivolved Digimon, instead of reincarnating into two DigiTama as above, sometimes the two Digimon will be reborn as a single combined DigiTama with the potential to grow stronger than their previous forms.
Baby/Fresh Digimon Baby/Fresh Digimon are the first and lowest stage of any Digimon hatched out of a Digitama. They possess very little offensive capability and generally rely on the care of other Digimon or humans to survive. Most of them attack using bubbles or some other mildly offensive technique that can't really harm anything too much... except other babies.
They evolve quickly to Baby II/In-Training Digimon. Most Baby Digimon have only a single Baby II stage to evolve into, with no branching, but there are some exceptions. Some Digimon skip this stage and will hatch directly into the Child/Rookie stage from the DigiTama.
Baby II/In-Training Digimon Baby II/In-Training Digimon are the second stage, the Digivolved form of the Baby digimon. They are slightly stronger and more developed than newborn Digimon, and usually grow limbs of some sort to become more mobile than their blob-like previous forms. Most of them attack using bubbles or some other mildly offensive technique. They evolve somewhat swiftly into the Child/Rookie stage.
Some Baby II Digimon sometimes only have one form to evolve into, however there are many that can branch off into many different Rookie level Digimon when they Digivolve. Mostly, they have branching evolutions that can range from two to six options with most Rookie branching out into Virus, Data, and Vaccine forms. Some Digimon skip this stage, as well as the first stage to hatch directly into the Child/Rookie stage from the DigiTama.
Child/Rookie Child/Rookie Digimon are the third stage and most commonly known stage of Digimon.
Child/Rookie Digimon are among the most popular and well-known, as this form is appealing because they are generally young enough to be considered cute and cuddly, while still having distinct designs and attack powers. Their size also means that it is easier for them to fit into places larger Digimon would not be able to. Digimon evolution begins to branch wildly at this point, with some Digimon such as Agumon having countless possible evolutions. They are starting to develop their special powers and learning to fight, thus they are able to defend themselves quite well against most Digimon of the same level, and sometimes even that of the Champion level, as well. But they are still well underdeveloped.
Adult/Champion Digimon Adult/Champion Digimon are the fourth stage of Digivolution and are the more developed and more powerful versions of their Rookie stages, usually having great power and potential to make it even greater.
Almost all Digimon reach this stage of evolution, which is proceeded by the Child/Rookie stage. Adult Digimon are the most common stage besides Rookie Digimon that the average Digimon will be encountered at. Their shape and size varies wildly, although the average is extremely large. Champion Digimon are very much more distinct from a Rookie Digimon because of their power and size and general appearance, though there are some exceptions.
Perfect/Ultimate Digimon Perfect/Ultimate Digimon are the 5th stage of Digivoltion and are extremely powerful and revered Digimon. Their power is fully developed beyond that of a Champion and the Ultimates know how to use their power to their advantage all the time. These are the Digimon that survived the toughest part of evolution and are now among the strongest Digimon. They evolve from the Adult form and sometimes, though very rarely, can evolve onto Ultimate/Mega forms, who have even more power than they do.
Ultimate/Mega Not to be confused with the Perfect/Ultimates, therefore we shall just call them Megas. Ultimate/Mega is the 6th and sometimes the 7th or even 8th level Digivolution of Digimon. Any Mega level that Digivolves further is either a DNA Digivolved Mega or a Mega II or Mega III (but can be referred to as Super Megas.) Those types of Digimon are beyond rare, and generally considered Digimon Gods if ascended to the Mega II or III level.
Ultimate/Mega Digimon are those who have attained the final stage of evolution. Rarely encountered, these Digimon tend to be extraordinarily powerful. Evolution is still observed, though rarely, to other Mega levels of a higher and better form. These are the most powerful of Digimon. The rulers
Other Forms of Digivolution Other forms of Digivolution happen outside of the natural Digimon line, and thus, are considered to be different strains of the Digimon's Digivolution line. Therefore, these are not mandatory to have like the preceding Digivolutions, but can occur within a Digimon given the proper conditions are met.
Dark Digivolution A common, yet uncommon Digivolution, the Dark Digivolution occurs when either the Digimon or the Digimon's tamer feels a large amount of negative emotions flowing through them, which ruptures the Digivolution process, turning the Digimon into probably another Digimon with twisted motives, personality or form than the preceding one. It can happen to any Digimon at any level, but is predominant in the Rookie and Champion levels. Dark Digivolved Digimon generally have more power than normal Digimon, but are fueled by negativity, making them more violent and destructive and harder to control. When this negativity wears off, so does the Dark Digivolution, in most cases, however sometimes, if the other partner still holds onto that negativity, they will stay in that Dark Digivolution until cured.
DNA Digivolution Also called Jogress Digivolution, DNA Digivolution is the merging of two or more Digimon together to create a digimon more powerful that generally has the same powers as both previous Digimon and is a higher level than them. It is most commonly seen in Rookies and Champions, however can also be seen in Ultimates and even Megas. Megas who achieve this usually become godly, becoming Mega II and Mega III level Digimon. DNA Digivolution can only happen with two or more Digimon present and 2 different Digivice to do it and sustain it.
Partition Merely separation of DNA Digimon via their Tamers' Digivices.
Armor Digivolution Digivolution from normally a Rookie Digimon to an Armor Digimon, which can be either classified as a Champion or sometimes even an Ultimate. Armor Digimon have more power than normal Champions normally and are armored by the power of a Digiarmor Egg, which is an ancient artifact that allows such a Digivolution. There are quite a few of them that allow different digimon to Digivolve in different ways depending on which one they are exposed to. Different Digiarmors eggs get different reactions with Digimon. This Digivolution can only be attained with a Digiarmor Egg/Digimental (it's what they're called in Japanese) and must be activated by the phrase "Digi-Armor Energize" or "Digimental Up!"
Warp Digivolution Another common, yet uncommon Digivolution, the Warp Digivolution is not an actual strain of different Digivolution, but just skipping one or more Digivolution levels to go on to the one after it. It can only be done up to the point that the said Digimon has learned to Digivolve up to. For example, Agumon can warp Digivolve directly to Metalgreymon while skipping having to go to Greymon first, but only if he had learned to Digivolve to MetalGreymon already. There is nothing special about it, really.
Matrix Digivolution and BioMerge Digivolution. Merely another way for Digimon to Digivolve. It's nothing special, it's just something you say when you want to sound badass when you Digivolve a Digimon. I mean, seriously, it sounds badass though, right?
Biomerge Digivolution, however, is when a Tamer and a Digimon merge together and increase the powers and parameters of a Digimon by a huge amount. It usually enables a Digimon to digivolve into the Mega level or above, or just increase the power of said Digimon.
Slide Digivolution A special type of Digivolution that can occur randomly when certain conditions in certain Digimon are met. Slide Digivolution merely means that a Digimon will Digivolve into a similar Digimon of the same level, however altered in some way.
Ex; Hagurumon can Slide Digivolve into Solarmon, which is just a fire using Hagurumon, if it is exposed to lots of heat. Or, Agumon can slide Digivolve into SnowAgumon if exposed to too much coldness.
It is just as easy to Slide Digivolve back to normal, however Digimon that have Slide Digivolutions also have a separate Digivolution line than their counterparts. Digimon can be Slide Digivolved back to their original forms at any given time, or stay in Slide Digivolved form, however the initial Digimon cannot Slide Digivolve whenever they want, as special conditions have to be met.
X Digivolution A very rare digivolution that occurs when a Digimon has been infected with the X antibody. Not all Digimon are able to be infected with the X antibody, but those who are become much more powerful than they were before, allowing them much better and more powerful abilities and parameters. Such as, a Rookie Digimon with the X Antibody would be able to fight on par with a normal Champion level Digimon as if it were one. No one knows just how Digimon get the X antibody or where it comes from, but it will cause this mutation to happen and it can only be undone if the X Antibody is extracted from the Digimon.
Spirit Digivolution and Double Spirit Digivolution Digivolution that occurs when Digital Human/Beast spirits are found and then obtained by a Tamer and embedded within their Digivices. This form of Digivolution allows the Digimon and the Human to combine together and become a Digimon of the Human or Beast form, depending on which spirit of which element they combine with. However, not many Digimon can Digivolve like this. Spirits are also NOT REQUIRED for Digivolution to the next level, however will have a significant increase in power if they are used. Humans are also not necessary for this sort of Digivolution. As it is stated in the name, Double Spirit Digivolution is merely using two spirits rather than one. | |
