Mission: Reap "Blood Witch Vyronica"

*Atra figured that the proper way to test his new found skill would be to dive head first in the fighting a head honcho, a witch. Perhaps he was in over his head, maybe he wasn't. Whatever the case he had an agenda and that was to get her soul. This would get the hard part out of the way of obtaining a witches soul for later. He strolled into the darkness lands, a place illuminated by grey lights and perpetuated an eerie darkness throughout the area. It was 11:30 PM, supposedly the witch comes out at midnight so Atra had a half hour to chill here until anything popped up. His shadow constantly wisped about his feet, Des'Noir brooding below and his wavelength that glowed a pinkish hue was a testament to this process.*

Though Atra was at peace for the time being, he wouldn't be in a few moments. These 30 minutes were going to be rather tough for him, as the monsters that lurked about the Darkness Lands did not like intruders. Though they seemed to enjoy his company, they did not like that he was an outsider, and thus, planned to eliminate him.

What would spawn from utter blackness was a large, burning, skull-like head, the green fire whipping violently around the engulfed head. This was a Dreadnid.



It hissed at Atra, its flames growing as it imagined devouring him with its flames...

((FUCK! I wanted the stupid FF monsters.... bastard.))

"No more smooth sailing..."

Atra said as he signed rapidly, he knew that within this blackness, this abyss, it would be difficult for him to extend his shadow for long lengths. But luckily, now that he has obtained soul powers, this fact is conquerable. Atra placed his hands out in front of him materializing a black lightning bolt laced with a purplish hue, it struck from his shadow and aimed to skewer the dreadnid ahead of him.

(Hmmm, well you told me to bring back these guys. XD You reap what you sow, I guess? No matter how randomly it may pop up to bite you in the ass! XDD)

The Dreadnid seemed to almost instantaneously dissipate to avoid the lightning and appear behind Atra some ways away from the pink aura all in the same motion, its scythe-like legs trying to rend through his flesh with swift, precise slices. More appeared from every angle, every side, varying in size and proportion. The Dreadnid was in a great territory, as its main ability could be abused to the very fullest of its potential in the Darkness Lands... This was why they were one of the most feared creatures when fighting them here.

The Dreadnid's claws struck atra but were forced away by some unknown reason as of now, hopefully leaving the Dreadnid staggered in some way. Seizing this possible opening, Atra located the head of the dreadnid using his advanced vision with his blindfold amidst this darkness and fired off another bolt of lightning from his shadow in that direction, the lightning bolt fired earlier seemed to linger where it was.

The parried claws in no way affected the Dreadnid's balance or guard, as the legs it generated were highly disposable. When it sensed Atra charging up for another attack, it would flare up the green fire around its head and fire off a large blast of it at the lightning, trying to 'burn' it up and thereby eat it, since the Dreadnid thrived by burning other things with its demonic fire with special properties. If it didn't work, the Dreadnid had a hell of a lot of blackness to manifest itself from to avoid the attack, thus, if it still came it would just move itself to another area very quickly.

After that, more legs appeared around Atra, this time trying to close him inside of them rather than just hack him up. The legs would arc over and try to create a dome to seal him in, for after that the Dreadnid could follow up with an even worse attack. It narrowed its eyes waiting for the opportunity to arise.

"I've figured you out pal...."

Atra would say while his lightning bolt seemed to weave around the Dreadnid's projectile like no other ordinary lightning would heading towards it's head going in for the kill now it glowed with a pinkish hue as it did this, however the dreadnid's flaming blast still headed towards Atra. The lingering lightning behing him turned liquid and formed a veil of water over our hero which seemed to assimilate to the flame instead of it yielding to its fiery pwnage.

Atra let the legs encase him, he didn't care... he expected some dome of apendagey pwnage, stabby stab thing that he could get himself out of. He needed to see if it was destroyed by his little unexpected curvy lightning attack first. He also needed confirmation if the Dreadnid could see its reflection in his water veil.

The Dreadnid wasn't expecting the curved lightning, but its entire 'body' wasn't exactly that easy to touch, even the head. The Dreadnid again dissipated as the lightning came toward his area and this time, it didn't appear in the general area. However, within the encasement of appendages, a shitload of the green demonic fire would explode from within the dome and try to completely and utterly consume whatever was inside of the dome of appendages.

The Dreadnid itself was in the sky, as even the sky was black. It waited up there, causing the demonic fire pillars to spew up from the ground, eating away at not only the ground, but whatever it touched as well.

The demonic explosion of what-the-fuck seemed to assimilate to the shadow water, becoming a part of it after atra's little veil glowed with a pinkish hue, this energy was foreign to Atra so it took a tad bit more chakra to devour into the nocturn but it was done. It seemed as if nothing happened. Looking towards the sky now Atra signed again, he could see the Dreadnid clearly and its reflection showed up on the water veil. The various demonic pillars of flame seemed to not permeate the shadowy mass under Atra protecting him from the attacks.

The Dreadnid could see that its attacks weren't working when used the way that they were, so the only thing left to do was drown the area in nothing but darkness. The Dreadnid disappeared once more, though this time all forms of light would vanish from the area as it did so. There was not even a singular light particle in the area at this point... What was the Dreadnid up to? Where did it go? Why did everything become blacker than darkness itself? Perhaps something deadly was coming... Who would know?

Atra figured the Dreadnid was flustered, for it seemed that its limited, but useful arsenal of attacks weren't working so he had planned to capture his reflection in advance. Which lingered on Atra's watery veil despite the darkness in the area, atra was going to use the Voodoo technique, in which he can stab the reflection of the dreadnid (at least it's head) and inflict massive damage on it.

"Nope..."

Atra said as everything got drowned in this same blackness, Atra manifested the Dreadnids head in a separate sphere of the shadow water and shot a bolt of lightning at it, causing it to burst into nothingness and the dreadnid would do the same, or at least feel the massive amounts of pain of doing so.

By the time Atra had begun to close the Dreadnid's head in another portion of the water, it had already completed its last attack. It was a sort of kamikaze sort of attack that it was using at this point in time, and it was rather effective. Not only would its head explode with the demonic fire in an immense and violent manner, but its 'body,' which just happened to be cloaking the entire area at this point, would ignite with the green fire as well, aiming to incinerate/consume everything that was within its body/the darkness, as well as try to... ya know, take everything with it.

This surprised Atra, he didn't know that the Dreadnid was expecting to die he knew it was frustrated though. This was his mistake. However he wasn't down and out. He sighed to himself as arms popped up from his shadow.

"Really?"

The arms dragged him into the shadow and sealed it like a manhole, he let the kamikaze take over the area, blowing up everything and even stressing the shield that Atra had made to prevent him from taking damage, further tapping his chakra. He emerged now unscathed...

"These monsters are weird, I should have just came at 11:59..."

Well, after all of that, the creature was dead, leaving Atra with a soul worth about 12 normal ones. However, by the time this was all done, it in fact was 11:59. The very moment the clock struck 12, the door to the manor opened up, and wouldn't you know, the Blood Witch Vyronica stood right there about to make her rounds to find more corpses.



She seemed to be able to feel Atra's presence right away, as she turned to his direction and simply stood there as if she were going to do absolutely nothing, a scowl upon her face. Though her eyes were blocked by a blindfold, she still seemed to be able to see Atra perfectly... Hm.

It took me a half hour to beat that fucking monster? I'm rusty...

Atra said as he emerged, he turned around now feeling the presence of another, he thought it was another monster and was going to beat this one quickly just to make sure he wasn't rusty until he saw the witch. The man of the hour! err... woman.

"So, before we get started... How can you see me? Because I can see you because I can see your anti-matter, and besides. He can see for me."

Atra spoke, as he was completing his sentence his shadow, Des'Noir emerged from his shadow and floated around for a minute.

"Secondly, can you just make this easy for me?"

"Vyronica. Nice to meet your acquaintance, sir. No, I needn't know your name or your business here. No need for common courtesy."

The Witch turned her head away from Atra, crossing her arms and licking her lips a bit.

"... I'm not blind, you know. I wear this for my own special reasons. My eyes bleed when they are exposed to air. So to ensure that I am not constantly bleeding all over the place, I wear this blindfold of sorts. I can see everything very clearly, however, as it is transparent. Think of it as a one way mirror. I can see everything clearly, but you cannot see my eyes."

Of course, it was of magical origin. Then he spoke of 'making this easy for him.'

"... I'm afraid I do not know what you mean, but if you'd like this to go easily, I shall just leave."

She started to walk off in an arbitrary direction opposite that of Atra. She said something under her breath...

"Your body does not suit my taste, anyway..."

Atra sighed to himself but looked towards his shadow who nodded and transformed into his warglaives. He shouted out to the witch...

"Nah nah... turn your ass around, I have to kill you. And I will, my gut feelings are never wrong."

With that Atra struck a stance his glaives glowing with a pinkish hue of sorts and his shadow expanding from under him. He took note of what the witch said, maybe he needed to get the blindfold off. Or maybe she was crippling herself?

Vyronica stopped in her tracks, turning around with an ever so slight scowl, showing her teeth.. bloodied fangs, it would seem.

"I'm truly sorry, I do not have time to entertain the living. I only have until dawn. So, I would advise you to vacate the premises before I have to escort you off of my property myself. I already see you haven't the manner to even introduce yourself or ask whom your host may be, and that, my good sir, is the etiquette of trash. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must say good day to you."

She continued walking further away into the distance, her image becoming smaller and smaller as she walked away. Seems as though she truly meant it.

Atra heaved a heavy sigh, because he hated being in this role. 'Making an opponent fight him' it was really unlike him and made him seem all too thirsty. But he just had to grin and bear it... He figured he'd just take this time to prepare. He lit the ring on his finger and pressed his hand to his ever expansive pinkish glowing shadow, it stayed the same size but something else was expanding over the area faster.

"Look bitch, I'm not fucking going anywhere so either you 'remove me' from the premises your damn self or I'll just take you out myself. Turning your back on me is the worst thing you could ever do."

Silence. Utter silence. Vyronica turned around slowly, flipping a bit of hair out of her face.

"... Very well. I do not like to leave my guests non-entertained, regardless."

She stood on one foot, the very tip of it, in fact, and she would lightly jump into the air, totally disappearing, it would seem. There was a quaking of the ground and many random holes started to appear... quite a few of them, in fact. The dark clouds in the sky started to swirl and fluctuate for some time and without warning, it would seem that she were somehow behind him, fangs just barely at his neck. She wished to maliciously rip his spine out with her teeth alone and drink his innards for her own personal gain.

Atra didn't see that coming, he was too busy with his hands on the ground to notice her amazing speeds but that's why he had another pair of eyes within his shadow operating for him. Des'Noir shadow possessed the chick as a bead of sweat dripped down Atra's brow he would have died there if Des'Noir didn't save his neck, literally.

"Phew... Okay, you mean business, and you're a vampire. So if I bring the sun out in these darkness lands, you die right?"

He kept up the spreading of, whatever he was spreading while the blood witch was forced out of the area by some means as if her anti-matter was being repelled. There was no damage that could come from this attack, it just pushed her back a good ways.

"Perceptive of you figuring out that I am a vampire..."

She said this before the body was flung away, then continued.

"This land does not know the light of anything."

Oddly enough, even though she seemed to be forced away, her voice was coming from the ground this time. This time a strike was made at his Achilles heels at the exact same time, trying to swipe them out from his legs with the same amazing speed seen before.

"... Even the flames that illuminate this place are just imitations of light... Why do you think my manor is here? There is never a drop of light."

Whether she grabbed his tendons or not, she would still emerge from the ground explosively with precise aim at his kidneys with her sharp, strong claws.

Atra moved himself this time using his shadow as transport like a platform to slide across the ground distancing himself from this witch once more, he was still in the same crouching position, his ring still lit.

"Yeah yeah... but what if I take us somewhere else?"

Atra said as he smirked, all the while Des'Noir emerged from his shadow, it was time to go on the offensive his ring went out now. He needed to save it for later.

"And how do you plan to do that, might I ask?"

This time her voice was heard from above. An unknown liquid-like substance trailed behind the body coming from the sky and there would be a flurry of strikes at Atra's head, the first one being a swipe at only his hair as to hold him in place while so the of the attacks could be continued.

"And besides that, it is the middle of the night. I doubt the sun would be out anywhere at this hour."

The liquid substance trailing behind would fall in Atra's initial area and a wide area around... What would happen if the liquid was touched was unknown, however. It was definitely different from water...

"I'll tell you in a minute... let me dodge your attacks first."

Atra said responding to her, it was time to be on the offensive. Atra started by pressing his hands to the ground, covering it with a watery like substance known as the shadow water. It expanded very very very far, as a matter of fact it looked like they were on a lake. Des'Noir blocked the blow to Atra's head with his chained hands moving on his own and the water was reflection possessed as it stopped in it's tracks. Granted, it was a possession, luckily it seemed that she wasn't familiar with jutsu. Atra sunk into the water and appeared elsewhere so that the witches reflection can be cast on the water. It would soon be captured.

"I can take us to the moon and back with the way the battle is set up now. The sun is always shining in space. You'll die, and I'll take your soul."
