Awakening - A Ranking Exam

..to the fields of testing. What better place to begin his new enlightenment, with his memories now fully intact and his mind now fully aware? It seemed that all he had to do was step foot on these grounds, and a proctor would show up. How? That didn't matter. Waiting for them now was the task at hand.

-Zeik shows up- "Come"

Such a simple command. Very well, the first strike was always the most important. But, Eta's own actions worked best as counters to others, so he'd have to reserve mostly for the second move.

He gathered his own energies within him, feeling the familiar hum of the Rejection mutation. He had no weapon, so a large branch in front of him would have to do for now. The branch glowed orange, and Eta began rejecting its "death" so that it grew lively once more, sturdy and green. The strike on Zeik would reject normal laws of force, amplifying it tenfold.

-Zeik gazed upon the power the young shinobi was using. He had seen it once before, but couldn't quite put his finger on it- "Hmp" -Zeik said mockingly as his right hand began to glow a mighty red, his eyes hidden form the blindfold and his true intentions hidden from the world- "I should test to see how this power works, before making such a reckless charge" -Zeik said as the energy from his hand released in a dazzlingly display of firepower. Flows, streams and large balls of Hellfire flew from his hand, destined to set eat and everything around him ablaze-

Of course his proctor would use fire against a branch. Eta mentally facepalmed at himself as it was consumed, before doing his best to dodge the barrage of fireballs. For those he couldn't dodge he would raise his arms in defense, coating them with a plate of Rejecting chakra. However, each fireball that did hit would shatter it like the crystal energy it was, and the small aftereffects singed his sleeves.

It was energy consuming to go on like that, and he knew he couldn't last in such a fashion. Plus he was out of a weapon now. Though, perhaps he didn't even need one. Finally he saw an opening, which he ducked another fireball and sprinted to what he thought was a blind spot of his proctor's. It was a one-two hit, first a solid chop to the back of the neck followed by a forceful palm on the spine. Each was amplified by this rejecting energy, the chop coming down sharp as a blade while the palm had the force of a charging rhino.

-unbeknowist to the young shinobi Zeik had no blind-spot. He saw the childs approach before he himself thought it. Zeik would instinctively pivot out opf the way of the first move and motion his hand to block the other. The powers of the Hellgate and the power of rejection clashing in a spectrum of Colors and power- "..Who are you?" -Zeik said as his free hand lifted to fire a beam of concentrated energy at the boys face-

'Who..?'

The question rang in his head like a gigantic church bell in its tower, reverberating to his very core. He didn't really have an identity at all; just a bunch of memories and some flawed DNA. But now that he thou--

He was about to get hit in the face with an energy beam. Act. That kind of concentration he couldn't divert elsewhere, so he managed to sidestep it. But he was busy trying to answer a question now. Where was he in thinking?

Right. Now that he thought about it, his proctor was a tad nostalgic. Broken memories from a consciousness that wasn't even his feebly attempted, and failed. So maybe the proctor would know how to respond.

"Eta.. just Eta. I came from one called Lucius, who's since been gone from this world.. Now, who are you..?"

"Lucius?" Zeik says warping away from where he stood and appearing on a statue of a woman, he had bui nlt after Kurai's passing- "The names familiar...oh that guy" -Zeik wasn't sure what had happened to lucius, he randomly disappeared but then again what shinobi doesnt do that- "I see, you're his kid right? Didn't know he had a lady"
